16.01.2022 Windows 8.1.... Microsoft has fixed Windows 8 with Windows 8.1 free upgrade, it now has features you can relate to like a start button. The New start screen interface feels more intergrated with the operating system instead of a addidtion.... PC Settings now has settings from the control panel in there, so now you dont need to go to two places to find the settings you want to change. More features in the start screen that make it intuitive like a button for all programs, and a easy to find search button when looking for settings etc.. Computer is now called This PC, somting ill need to get used to. I also have noticed a speed increase from 8.1, quite speedy, and reminds me of windows 7's fast interface. Things may be looking up for Windows 8, this is a massive leap forward for this OS. Many will be wanting to know how to upgrade to 8.1, which is quite simple! In Windows 8, go to the Windows Market, and the first item should be the upgrade to Windows 8.1, click that and download the new version, it will install itself. When its finished, you will be asked to select some settings, and your back to your pc, no files or personal settings lost. The download is 3.4GB and will take around 1 - 2 hours to install. I have performed the upgrade on two pc's so far, and both have gone perfectly. If you require assistance to upgrade your Windows 8 PC, please contact me.
