Basically, your nervous system has 2 modes; sympathetic (high level of arousal & metabolic activity), and parasympathetic (recovery and decreased HR). Your body can only recover whilst in the parasympathetic nervous system. ... The quicker you can get into that state after training, the better. Chuck 1-3m on the clock, lay down on your back in a comfortable space, close your eyes and control your breathing (11s inhale, 7s exhale). You’ll feel amazing at the end, trust
