(Apart from the fact that during my time with Toyota I was continually hounded to identify cost reduction ideas from my parts and suppliers)... , an outsider always brings a fresh perspective. We see things that those within the business can become blind to over time. , when you learn the lean tools and apply lean thinking the instances of waste become really obvious, really quickly In this picture we have a Value Stream Map (Current State) of a client's process that we completed recently.
