25.01.2022 A little video of our adventure out to Apsley Falls. A spontaneous trip but was worth it!

24.01.2022 ***Images from July*** If anyone is heading to the Barrington Tops this weekend. Hope you get to see some snow But just a friendly reminder to drive carefully and to the conditions. Roads can get very slippery so keep plenty of distance between vehicles and no need to rush! ... Be mindful of other drivers and don’t do anything silly! If you don’t feel comfortable driving in the conditions, don’t risk it! Maybe get a lift with someone else. Let someone know where you are going and download the Emergency+ App! Take extra warm clothes and food in the case you get stuck somewhere and can’t get out. See more

14.01.2022 Anyone else get out this weekend for a weekend away?

14.01.2022 As we draw closer to the 1 June reopening of camping areas, we'd like to remind everyone that: - social distancing still applies, especially with other visitors... in the campground & the forest. - hand hygiene is crucial! Pack your soap, water & hand sanitiser. - general government health orders still apply. Make sure you know all the rules before leaving home or you may end up with a hefty fine from police (ouch!). It's up to you to follow the rules & #staysafe. #visitnswforests #socialdistancing #keepingitclean #washyourhands

08.01.2022 ROAD CLOSED - BARRINGTON FOREST RD BETWEEN MOONAN FLAT AND GLOUCESTER This morning Police have had to assist a number of people who have been stuck in the icy ...and dangerous conditions in the Barrington Tops. As a result in consultation with NPWS, the Barrington Forest Rd is closed between Moonan Flat and Gloucester. This is due to high levels of ice on the roads currently making conditions extremely treacherous. Please stay away from the area or consider visiting more accessible snow locations such as Gloucester Tops or Nundle which can be accessed in sealed roads.

07.01.2022 Swans Crossing, Kerewong State Forest: If you were camping in Swans Crossing over the October long weekend & have any helpful information about a large group of... people who allegedly exhibited illegal & anti-social behaviours, please DM us. This group was also reportedly very large, potentially in breach of COVID public health orders re: gathering numbers. We will share any helpful advice with Police. And please, always report illegal or antisocial behaviour to Police wherever possible, when it happens. Help us keep State Forests #familyfriendly and available to everyone. A BIG thank you to those who helped clean up the mess this large group left. It's truly appreciated. #thankyou #staysafe See more

01.01.2022 Advice for our Forest Visitors: ALL OUR visitors areas, campgrounds & picnic areas are FORMALLY CLOSED under Government Public Health Orders. Anywhere where peo...ple would gather or use shared facilities risks COVID-19 transmission. Whilst you can still drive or walk through may forest areas, if you visit a closed area, you may potentially face a $1000 ON-THE-SPOT FINE from Police. We've had reports today of people going to our visitor areas. Don't go. You risk everyone's health. Be responsible. Be sensible. Consider the vulnerable in our communities. Don't be part of the COVD-19 problem, be part of the solution. #staysafe #nocamping #nopicnicking #nogathering #nounnecessarytravel
