My gorgeous friend Marnie has tried brunette and copper-blonde but she never feels as comfortable or as right as when shes blonde. And she has been blonde all sorts of ways. Last year she brought me pictures of pieced-out painted long waved bobs. So we pared her mostly fully highlighted blonde back to a more balayaged look. One of the benefits to this ...was the lack of ridiculously obvious regrowth. As Marnie drives 1.5hrs to see me, usually in peak hour traffic, this meant she could push her visits out to 8-12 weeks rather than the regular 6. Today I took a subtle u-turn and brought in a few more highlights and closer to her roots. 21.01.2022 Just some simple yet exquisite floral joy at the salon so far this year. I basically missed flowers in the salon the whole of March due to the heat and angle of the sun through the windows.

21.01.2022 This great kid came in today for a serious chop. He was thrilled when I suggested we could donate his lengths to be made into wigs for children suffering from alopecia. Thanks to Sustainable Salons Australia for enabling this great contribution.

I’m seeing very few appointment spaces left in my diary so if you’ve not booked your pre-Christmas hair lovin’ with me, GET ON IT and avoid disappointment I’ll be taking 2 weeks off after 24/12/20 to get my head, heart and body back in synch, ready for a blissful 2021

Sustainable Salons, through its program with its member salons, is now the biggest donor of ponytails to charitable organisations, in Australia. Last week, this gorgeous lady decided to go short enough with her lob to provide the necessary 20cm minimum length pony tails for donation. 07.01.2022 After a hectic December, time to chill led to a simple but very strong acknowledgement of the importance of what I do. It comes down to just this: Sometimes, all you need is a haircut. Im reminded of this often by the sigh of relief, the joyful face and the bounce in the step of my clients as they head out of my salon and back into the world.
