16.01.2022 We're very excited to announce that our brand new mussel pâté is available from today! We've been hearing from customers that they want sustainability as well as nutrient density. Mussels are arguably the most sustainable protein in the world, as they feed on nutrients from seawater - as 'filter feeders', they actually help clean the sea! They're also absolutely packed with nutrients, in particular zinc, iron and vitamins A and B12. Flavour-wise, the pâté has been inspired by... restaurant mussel dishes, with a perfect balance of deep sea mussels, tomato and fresh parsley - we made sure that it's just as tasty as our other pâtés. 05.01.2022 Mussels are one of the world's most sustainable proteins. This was essential to us in selecting them as the base for our newest pâté, as our customers have consistently asked for a nutrient-dense and highly sustainable product. Mussels are filter feeders, which means that they don't require food or fertiliser, instead filtering what they need from the water they grow in. Mussel aquaculture is zero-input, which means there's no waste. In fact, mussels clean the ocean water (that's the 'filter' part) as they feed.
