24.01.2022 Proud to be President of the Officer Kangaroos Junior Football Club tonight. Watching our home grown Callum Porter debut for the Western Bulldogs was something special, and he didn’t let us down. 9 possessions (8 contested) and 4 tackles from only 56% game time is what Officer is about. We’re proud of Cal and we look forward to watching him on the big stage for a long time.... Not only an AFL player for our Roo Boys and Roo Girls to follow in his footsteps, he’s a great young man willing to help the younger kids too!! For those that don’t know, the rooms at Starling Road are named after Cal’s grandfather Rob Porter (who presents at the Officer Anzac Day service and Cal’s dad Geoff (and Rob) maintain the buildings and grounds at Starling Road. Thank you Rob, Geoff and Jayne for continuing to support the Officer community!

08.01.2022 * Officer Kangaroos Junior FC - ALL GIRLS TRAINING SESSION - Tuesday 7 August * We will be conducting an All Girls Training Session that will be held at the Heatherbrae Rec Reserve in Officer on TUESDAY 7 AUGUST from 4:45pm to 6:00pm with Chelsea Caple - the AFL's first female Development Officer (Gippsland Region). If you are a girl that loves AFL footy and born between 2005 and 2010 come down, bring a friend or two and join us!!... The Officer Kangaroos JFC intends fielding Under 10 & Under 14 dedicated girls teams in 2019 to add to our very successful Under 12's in 2018. 07.01.2022 Our Under 17 team are on the look out for more players to add to their list for the 2019 season. Are there boys in Years 10 and 11 at school (born in 2002/2003) that would like to come and have a kick? There might be some players out there that didn't get much of a chance last year at their current club - well come and join us. In 2018 our Under 17's finished third just losing the preliminary final by five points.

06.01.2022 Today our Club President Shayne presented to members of the local Muslim community the benefits of playing AFL and what Officer Junior Football Club has to offer. It was the first of a new AFL multi cultural presentation. Here’s a pic of some of the group. Also in attendance and in pic is Sudip Chakraborty (AFL MultiCultural Officer), Muhammad Saad (Essendon FC MultiCultural Officer & brother of Adam Saad) and Shoheli Sunjidi (AFL Community Ambassador).

Our spiritial home at Starling Rd is a live applicant for a substantial grant to go toward building a new facility to benefit all the participating sports clubs and community groups in Officer that currently reside there. The Officer Kangaroos JFC is already financially invested in this project along with the Officer Senior FC, Officer Cricket Club and ROC Netball C...lub. Unlike any other normal grant process this is now an online popularity contest to win the grant. It will only take five minutes of your time.
