23.01.2022 Western Oval Update: the Couch grass was sewn before Christmas and with some warm weather and watering will begin to take. The area is still a construction zone and under no circumstances can anyone walk out onto the oval until further notice. 19.01.2022 It's been nearly ten years in the making and we're not far off getting started!

19.01.2022 There's been plenty happening at the Rec Reserve recently. Here are just two of a number of projects underway or recently completed (There will be an update on two more projects next soon). 1. The solar project is now completed with thanks to Pete and the team at Gippsland Solar. We look forward to seeing some big savings on our electricity bills in the future! 2. The Western oval reconstruction is coming along nicely with the new couch grass taking. With plenty of rain then sun and the humid weather has been very helpful. The new coaches boxes were installed last week as well.

17.01.2022 It was a big night at the Cardinia Shire Council Australia Day Award nominations last night for the Officer Rec Reserve and its members. Two of our clubs and two individuals were nominated for their outstanding contributions to the community. Rec Committee President Rob Porter was a nomination for Senior Citizen of the Year for his continued work volunteering at the Starling Road reserve along with his tireless efforts with the Officer Township Committee, Officer Hall and t...he Union Church refurbishment project. Melise Yeates from Officer Auskick and the Officer Kangaroos Junior Football Club is a very worthy nomination for Citizen of the Year for her outstanding contribution to football and the Boldens basketball club where she spends countless hours ensuring boys and girls are involved in footy and basketball. In the category of Event of the Year the very successful fund raiser for Beyond Blue - "Not on My Watch" was an excellent nomination. This event is organised by members of the Officer Kangaroos JFC and the Officer Cricket Club. The winners of each category will be announced at the Australia Day Event between 11am and 12 noon, this Sunday 26 January at the Cardinia Cultural Centre Pakenham.
