01.01.2022 Lyndall from @househomelove recently provided us with some great #workingfromhome tips! Im mum of three young boys and like so many of us, I am currently working from home while trying to juggle mum-life with no school or daycare. To help us adapt to this change, I made some updates to my home office space so I have a place to setup my three-year-old with some activities to keep him busy while I get through my workload. I added a file sorter to my desk to organise files for ...multiple projects I am working on, receipts for reimbursement and other important documents I need regular access to. Using my Brother label printer and clear tape, I created labels for each file so I can easily find what I need without getting up from the desk or rummaging through a drawer. Having a weekly planner whiteboard helps me to keep on top of Zoom meetings and project deadlines, and it is easy to update if meeting times or deadlines change. This is also helpful for my partner as he can see at a glance the times I will be relying on his help with the boys. I also use a daily planner to maximise my available working times, and I keep some notepaper and pens on my desktop so I can scribble down important information whilst on the phone or make note of ideas as they comes to mind. A couple of other useful tips for you: Add a plant or some greenery to your workspace. Its amazing how much plants improve the air quality, help to reduce fatigue and act as a mood uplifter! Always leave a coaster on your desk for your coffee, tea, or water. This means less cups getting bumped over as your drink of choice has a designated spot and no water ring marks left on your desk surface!
