24.01.2022 Let's get swimming! A reminder that any family members coming to watch the Junior Swim Carnival today, or Senior Swim Carnival tomorrow need to be not showing Covid 19 symptoms, socially distance and sign in at pool via QR code system (which appeared on notes home and newsletters, and will also be up around pool entry). Unfortunately, parents will also not able to interact with students once at the pool. Looking forward to the fun at the pool over the next 2 days, our students have been working hard in their swim lessons ready for the day.

24.01.2022 It was great to see all of our Yr 5/6 students participate in their panel discussions today as their English assessment for this unit. They each prepared a presentation about the authors style and then asked and answered questions about the stories they analysed and evaluated. They studied a range of Paul Jennings short stories for their panel discussions today. Well done 5/6 students and teachers!

21.01.2022 This morning we celebrate our student's successes and accolades at our Awards Ceremony. Due to restrictions of numbers in the hall, only awardee parents have been invited to attend, 2 family members only (except younger siblings). Parents of students who are receiving an award were emailed an invitation early last week to the email that we have on our enrolment system. We also won't be able to host the post-award morning tea as we have in other years. Despite all these restrictions and changes, 2020 has been a great year at Clermont State School, and the many awards being handed out today are a testament to the excellence of so many of our students.

20.01.2022 Once upon a time, a thief committed a crime. Everything he stole was replaced with a RHYME! Today students in Prep T used their knowledge from a recent English unit to solve their very own rhyme crime. Before lunch Miss Turner read a very funny story by Jon Burgerman called Rhyme Crime. However once they returned from lunch, they discovered a rhyme crime in their very own classroom. The students had to work together to solve the clues and crack the code to find all the missing items!

18.01.2022 Please book and make enquiries directly through to the League Stars website.

13.01.2022 Next week, as part of our PBL focus of 'I.C.T Use', we'll be looking into Cybersafety. Mrs Mellor will be talking on parade about staying safe online, and being careful when communicating with others over the internet. We feel this an important message, especially leading up to the school holidays where children may be spending more time than usual on devices and tablets. Did you know that there is an age limit for popular social apps? For most sites including Tik Tok, Snapchat and Facebook, you must be atleast 13 years old to use them.

12.01.2022 Students must be in full school uniform also, or will not be permitted to attend.

12.01.2022 A reminder that staff and students at Clermont State School will be supporting 'Talk Like a Pirate Day' on Friday in support of Childhood Cancer. What a great initiative for our Student Council to get behind. Well done team!

Mr Robinson is ready for a fun day including PBL Rewards Day activities and treats and lots of fun pirate activities. One class has been working on a treasure map to dig for treasure tomorrow. Don’t forget a gold coin for childhood cancer. Well done to the Student Council for choosing such a worthy charity to support.

08.01.2022 On Thursday we had a large contingent of our future preps attend our Prep Transition Morning. What a successful day we had, with our future students enjoying their school tour and spending time with their teachers for next year. A reminder that all enrolled 2021 Preps are invited to attend ANOTHER transition morning next Thursday the 26th of November. We so enjoyed meeting so many of our future CSS students, and we can't wait to meet more!

05.01.2022 The 5/6 vegetable garden is looking great thanks to the keen gardeners in 5/6 who have been looking at garden designs as part of their food technology unit. The staff and students are looking forward to tasting Kale chips tomorrow. Can’t wait for our big edible gardens to be built on the coming holidays as we definitely have some green thumb staff and students.
