23.01.2022 Flashback to 2014 Tour, what is your favourite track from that set list?

22.01.2022 Happy New Year 2021. Thank fuck 2020 year is behind us - hopefully 2021 will be a better year for many of us. Many people are still doing it hard, their livelihood affected by this shitty pandemic and we extend our gratitude to the all of the front-line workers who put their own lives at risk to help treat and contain this life-taking virus. Obviously had Covid not interfered with the entire planet’s intentions for 2020 we would have had a celebratory tour for the 25th anniv...ersary of Ill At Ease. So, hopefully, if things get back to normal, ie vaccinations etc, we hope to reload and re-try for a 1 year late celebration of that 25th anniversary- or perhaps we just say it’s the 26th year anniversary instead later this year. We will see where we are at in a few months regards travel and capability for touring etc - even at this stage everything is moving and changing with no assured predictability so we can only plan and see how it pans out. All the best from TMOC and our thoughts to all who are struggling at this time - it can only get better. Stay strong. TMOC

20.01.2022 Lockdown. Taken from the album This Is This. Produced by Andy Gill. The sound of what would eventually be called post-punk belongs largely to Andy. A huge influence on us all. Vale Andy Gill.

18.01.2022 Belated birthday wishes to our pal Henry Rollins: 2.13.61. Here’s a show we did with Hank (and Babes in Toyland) back in... 1995? Did we see you there? #henryrollins #rollinsband #21361 #babesintoyland

18.01.2022 Some artefacts found in the office of Feel Presents; agents to The Mark Of Cain. Best punk artist - I will retaliate!

16.01.2022 It's a strange land When you're an outlander The discovery of wanting An ecstasy of fumbling... And while the Earth leapt at our feet Its hands like those of ancient lovers Pulling us They'll follow us in our every move Drag us down, alone, under Drag me down Drag me down (Drag me) And fortune, she's a cunt And there are few that die well When they're in the front In the neck, or The Nek One's as good as the other We dragged our boots over no man's land And held our sway, when lead did sing And pulled the others in our wake Try not to think, only take It's a cold place to be In between A shipwreck at sea From Paschendale To Villiers Bretonneaux The Nek, Lone Pine And Anzac Cove Drag me down Drag me down Stepping and trudging This endless grim mile Nothing ahead But the naked and dead Deceased and devoid Nothing ahead Stepping and trudging The naked and dead Nothing moves forward Nothing ahead Deceased and devoid The naked and dead Lyrics: John Scott. Lest We Forget.

06.01.2022 The proposed 25th Anniversary Ill At Ease Tour planned for later in 2020 has been postponed for now but will be rescheduled for 2021 due to COVID-19 throwing the live music scene into turmoil. While we know this is disappointing to many, we hope due to the circumstances you understand our decision on delaying the tour. The good news is the tour will still occur and we will provide further details as they come to hand. We also hope to release Deluxe Vinyl and CD re-issues of... Ill At Ease (produced by Henry Rollins) to celebrate the milestone. In the meantime, stay safe. The Mark Of Cain (Promo Shot circa 1993)

04.01.2022 TMOC mourn Andy’s passing - genius guitarist who inspired us, a band who inspired us, a man who inspired us. So glad we caught up - always great conversation, smart, knowledgeable, funny. Thank you Andy. https://www.rollingstone.com//gang-of-four-andy-gill-dead/

01.01.2022 The Killer is Within was released 25 years ago this month on Adelaide’s Dominator label. It consisted of 6 tracks, 4 of which were recorded live at the Great Britain Hotel, in Melbourne 20th October 1994. The live recordings consisted of Drive On, Battlesick, Details, and Attrition. The title track Hindsight was written as a nod to Jim Thompsons The Killer Inside Me a 1952 American Noir crime novel which looked at the duplicitous nature of a small town sheriff who is also t...he town psychopath. One of my favourite stories. Great film version exists as well with Stacy Keach. Hindsight and Tell Me also appear on the 1995 release Ill At Ease, however both are earlier versions of the songs on that release. The main thing I recall was that when we went down to the now darkened bar after we had played, and switched on the light to grab our gear in order to pack the van, as soon as the light went on it looked like every surface in the entire bar was covered in a black mass. I’d never seen so many cockroaches scatter all at once they were everywhere. Funny how that is what I mainly recall of that night! John Scott
