22.01.2022 This weekend off road racing will finally get under way for 2020 at Peron Dunes in Tasmania for the 48th Annual Tas Sand Enduro. The Tasmanian Off Road Car Club has received 10 entries for this year’s 500km race around one of Australia’s most iconic race tracks . Lining up for this year's race will be 8 time winner Hayden Tatnell in his Pro Buggy. HTM motorsport has been sidelined for the last few years and it will be great to see the Chev powered BAT back on the sand. Chri...s Branch, from Hobart, will be debuting his new Pro Lite buggy this weekend. Branch, always fast, will definitely be one to watch. Sportslite buggy class will be hotly contested between 4 teams; representing the south of the state Andrew Giffard and Johnny Walker are up against TORCC members Chris Shepheard and Luke Sulzberger from the North. Super 1650 may come down to a mother and daughter battle with Sharon Sulzberger jumping behind the wheel of the family’s newly acquired buggy up against daughter Kateland Marshall in her Southern Cross. Mike Males will be the only SXS on the grid this year in his Can Am X3 turbo. Mike, the veteran of the field, will be out to show the rest how it's done ! Racing starts Saturday at 12.00 in the dunes for 2 x 20 lap heats and again Sunday morning at 10.00 for the first of 3 heats. Spectator entry is free and canteen facilities will be available in the dunes all weekend. See more

09.01.2022 CAMBRIDGE 300 WRAP UP After 8 heats of racing over two days the Cambridge 300 has been run and won. Day one saw 3 of the favourites have issues with Michael Stalker rolling his Yamaha SXS early in the day and Mike Males suffering mechanical issues in his Can Am X3.... Both competitors were able to get their vehicles back on the track to finish the day; unfortunately Chris Branch was not so lucky breaking an axle at the end of Heat 3 and was not able to finish day one. We also lost our newest driver, Johnny Whiskey Walker, with gearbox issues in Heat 2, this put long time racer Andrew Giffard in 1st place, Michael Stalker in 2nd place, Mike Males in 3rd with Chris and Rebecca Sheppard in 4th at the end of day 1. Overnight Chris Branch and his team managed to get his axle back together allowing him to restart day 2. Although Chris was circulating at a very conservative pace the axle was not able to hold up and again broke 4 laps in to heat 1. Andrew Giffard was suffering from minor teething Issues in his newly Honda powered car but was still in a strong position from day 1. Michael Stalkers incident on day 1 had not phased him as he continued to push to regain the lap he had lost the day before, Mike males had a great day, winning all of the heats on day 2 but was unable to regain the lead due to laps lost from the day before. Day two was not so good for Chris and Rebecca Shepheard, with the car rolling in heat 6 which unfortunately shortened the heat to 6 laps; both occupants and the car were fine and with some minor repairs were able to continue for the rest of the day. A massive congratulations go to Andrew Giffard for taking out his first ever outright win in his Honda powered buggy and Michael Stalker for his 2nd outright position closely followed by Mike Males in 3rd outright. The club would like to thank everyone for their help in setting up the event and assisting to ensure everything ran smoothly, Thank you to all the marshal's, officials, the team in the kiosk and also the land owner for his continued support of the club and Motorsport in general.

03.01.2022 Sunday on the dunes and the sun came out for a while (at least there was no rain). Winner was Chris (Tiny) Boon in 1st, Chris Branch in 2nd and Chris Shepard rounding out the 3. Please TAG-SHARE-LIKE-COMMENT-FOLLOW ALL PHOTOS AND MANY MORE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
