20.01.2022 From today’s Stage 3 girls The stage 3 travelled to North Geelong to take on one of the top teams. Alex and Cara got the team off to a great start, Alex retired again as did Andy. Some really tight bowling and a couple of run outs we were bowled out with a couple of overs to spare. Only having 7 players it was going to be a tough ask, the girls bowled and fielded well, Tia getting 2 wickets and Imogen finally get to bowl some left arm leggies, Peri took a great catch in the ...outfield, and Holly keeping up to the stumps to all the bowlers. It would be great to see some of the older girls get a opportunity in the women’s team after Christmas. Go Grubbers

06.01.2022 Firstly Condolences to the Johnson Family on the passing of Arthur Albert Johnson aged 78. Arthur played for the OGCC in the late 1950’s and early 60’s. Possibly his most famous match was as an 18 year old against Portarlington he ended with match figures of 6/18 in the 1st Innings and 4/27 in the 2nd innings which included a hat-trick. 03.01.2022 Under 13's Friday night boys- just like to say what a great effort these boys are putting in without a coach. Not many wins on the board, but wow wee oh so close in many of the games. Came close to the ladder leaders St Joeys last night. The boys only had 8 players and lost with 1 over to go. Special mention to award winners Austin Gill with making 27* and Hunter Phipps 20*. And Jack Vose taking 4/18 of 4 overs and Hunter Phipps 2/13 of 3 overs. This Saturday Grubbers take on Drysdale in the B1's at the home of cricket Shell rd and the C1's take on Collendina at Memorial. Both games kick of at 1pm. 01.01.2022 Dear Club members and visitors - please note that Face Masks are mandatory in ALL indoor spaces as mandated by the current State Government COVID rules - additionally the rules mandate that you must carry a mask with you at all times. Masks maybe removed when seated with a drink or a meal - but they must be worn at all other times when in the club's social rooms. Please pass this on to all that come to the club.

01.01.2022 I am writing today to give an update on the upcoming AGM. Due to the COVID19 restrictions our plan to hold the meeting in mid-May was unable to go ahead. The reports have been prepared and gathered in readiness for the meeting and we stand ready to hold the meeting once regulations allow us to. Nomination forms and position description guidelines are available for anyone who would like to join the committee for the upcoming season. These forms can be returned at any time, pre...ferably by email. All positions will be vacated on the day of the AGM. Proxy forms will be sent out with the notification of the meeting, once we have some clarity on when the meeting can go ahead. The club is required to give at least 21 days’ notice of the meeting. With this in mind we will set a date as soon as possible once restrictions are lifted. We have been in contact with ‘Consumer Affairs Victoria’ and have been advised that we have until September 30th to hold the meeting, however we can apply for an extension if required due to the crisis (I hope that won’t be necessary). In the meantime the 2019-2020 committee will continue in their current roles administering for the club.
