22.01.2022 Greetings everyone. Due to ongoing restrictions from COVID-19, training still cancelled. I dont have a startup date as yet, but as soon as we get the go ahead from council I will let everybody know. I do apologise as we were excited about being able to start back at the dojo again, but this is out of my control. ... So please keep training at home when you can and if you need to run through something please let me know and we should be able to work something out. Remember - Never give up!

It registers the date and time along with your details so in the event we need to use the list for contact tracing we can retrieve the data as requested. 04.01.2022 OKINAWAN DOJO ETIQUETTE - things you should know Over the years, the use of the word "Oss or Osu" has become common in many Karate Dojos. However, most people o...nly understand this as some type of "Japanese Greeting", NOT understanding its historical reference in Okinawa. The term "Oss" is considered, in Okinawa, a militaristic term used in Japan. In Okinawa, this term may be considered derogatory and insulting ( even if not acknowledged as so, out of politeness ). So if you are training in Okinawan Karate-Do, using this term in Okinawa, to an Okinawan or in an Okinawan Karate dojo, should be avoided. An alternative expression you can used is "Hai" which basically is an affirmation of yes, or understanding or acknowledgement and much more polite in the Okinawan setting.
