Yesterday's private Street Art & Sculpture Tour group were lucky enough to meet the super talented Jerome Davenport Visual Artist aka @ketones6000 as he was finishing of this beaut new mural in Lock Lane behind Alex Hotel they got to hear about the mural and ask him some questions - how great is that?! We are working towards creating more opportunities like this where our guests can engage with artists while they're painting, to learn about the stories and techniques first hand, and feel more connected to the creative culture of our fabulous city - stay tuned!! 20.01.2022 Oh Hey Wednesday!! Today we took a whopping 120 () Year 6 Christchurch students on a Street Art Excursion!! These kids were seriously so amazing, they asked so many great questions and came up with some really interesting interpretations of the artwork! The excursion was organised as part of a replacement program for the annual Year 6 trip to Canberra that they were meant to be on right now and the kids absolutely loved it! 20.01.2022 Last night we were so chuffed to attend a sneak peak of the Pirate Life Perth venue set to open this Summer and we can safely say it is going to be E P I C ! A collab between Pirate Life and the legendary team behind Perth hospo powerhouse Sneakers & Jeans the venue will be in the old Sony building on Murray St and will boast a capacity of 1000 (!) with three bars, two kitchens, a beer garden and a basement brewery! Not only will they be pumping out delicious beer in house, including some experimental brews, they will have an extensive wine, spirits and cocktail list, delicious food to go with a merch store on site. We are super excited and you should be too!

15.01.2022 OH HEY BIRTHDAY STAYCAY! This week Oh Hey WA is turning SIX! How exciting is that!? We couldn’t be more chuffed and we celebrated with the most incredible staycation at Alex Hotel !!! We have been hanging out to stay here for a while and it did not disappoint! Alex Hotel is the loveliest little boutique hotel in the best possible location - right in the heart of Northbridge with one of the best rooftop spaces - only accessible to hotel guests!! We spent lots of time up ther...e admiring our beautiful city, enjoying the delicious drinks from the friendly staff at the hotel bar (I’m looking at you Kauri and the barrel-aged negroni!) and reminiscing about the amazing journey Oh Hey has been over the years (yes there were many soppy tears!!) We got all dressed (I turned into the emoji) and indulged ourselves in the most delicious night out starting with wine and olives on the balcony of the lovely new No Mafia location Such a great spot to sit and watch the world go by! We then went to Shadow Wine Bar & Dining Room for dinner and WOW - my mouth is still watering think about it!!! All of the food was seriously SO TASTY (the anchovy toast and prawn spaghettini were especially amazing) and their friendly and knowledgeable staff helped us pick out some fabulous wines to go with the food. It was the BEST! We had the most incredible time on our little Northbridge staycaytion - what a way to celebrate our birthday! 14.01.2022 OH HEY NEW TOUR GUIDES!!!! Happy FriYay! And YAY for the weekend indeed! We have had an epic couple of weeks here in Oh Hey Land. Business has been booming and theres some exciting new things happening and cool ideas brewing - we are feeling super chuffed! The MOST EPIC news that wed love to share is that we have officially welcomed two new amazing guides to the Oh Hey Fam - Pete and Chanel! <3 How great is that?!... These legends both ran their first bar tours last night and they did a fantastic job! They are so lovely and fun and have great passion and enthusiasm for Perth - AND they look great in blue! Give them a smile if you see them around town and wed love for you to join them on a tour soon! And you wont be disappointed either, theyve already got some killer reviews! This is a huge step for the business as its the first time I have ever hired people that I didnt already know so it has been fairly confronting and theres been lots of growing and learning but it has been a really wonderful process. We are so stoked to have lovely Chanel and Pete on board alongside myself (Adie), Robyn and Harriet (and we even had our lovely guide Jess back for a cheeky tour last weekend!) The fam is growing which means we can have more time to create more cool new tours as well as other creative projects and activations to help make Perth an even more interesting, exciting and engaging city. So today, mask life be damned, I jumped on my bike and am now here doing what I love most, exploring and eating and drinking my way around town I must say it is good to be back! Yesterdays private Street Art & Sculpture Tour group were lucky enough to meet the super talented Jerome Davenport Visual Artist aka @ketones6000 as he was finishing of this beaut new mural in Lock Lane behind Alex Hotel they got to hear about the mural and ask him some questions - how great is that?! We are working towards creating more opportunities like this where our guests can engage with artists while theyre painting, to learn about the stories and techniques first hand, and feel more connected to the creative culture of our fabulous city - stay tuned!!
