Get in front of the camera on Insta stories & answer those questions OR share info that answers their questions.... 3. Answer FAQ questions with a killer caption in an Insta & Facebook post. 4. Create an Instagram Reel with your 3 top tips about a particular topic. 5. Bust a myth with a killer caption in an Instagram & Facebook post. 6. Write a blog post about a trending topic, with a unique view and lots of helpful advice. 7. Create an IGTV addressing a pain point of your target market and provide solutions. 8. Get in front of the camera on Insta stories and give tips about a topic you're passionate about. 9. Create a helpful infographic about a trending issue. 10. Post a poll to your Facebook page & Insta stories, to see what your followers know about a topic. Then give them the correct answer in the comments / next story. 21.01.2022 One of our biggest values is honesty, so we're going to drop a truth bomb that we don't have 100% 5-star reviews, and here's why: Our former Employer from the previous digital agency we worked for decided to try and bring us down by leaving a 1-star review on our Facebook page. He didn't like the idea that two young Women could go out on their own and do a better job than he did. Their company has now folded, Karma is a b*tch! A former client retaliated in a very unp...rofessional way when we tried to establish reasonable boundaries around communication outside of biz hours. We had to block her on our socials once we had concluded business to prevent the abuse that we were met with, so she left a 1-star review on Google. But you know what we learnt from both of these experiences...it's not the one or two less than sparkly reviews from people who aren't your people that matter. Because if you have a bunch of GLOWING reviews from your kinda people - THAT'S what your potential customer or client will see, and that's how they'll begin to develop trust. And if you do have some legitimate negative ones, it opens you up the possibility of improving & fixing the situation (hey maybe youll get that 1 turned into 5?) Stats show us that 95% of shoppers read reviews before making an online purchase, so we know how important it is to shine through in reviews. When was the last time you left a review for a business you've visited or done work with? Lets #supportsmallbusiness & leave those reviews where theyre due!

Authentic No B/S Helpful Sassy So many biz owners that we work with don't know exactly how their brand sounds, or how they should be using that personality, which is something we help them with using our Digital Marketing Plans so that they never struggle to differentiate themselves again. Your brand personality should always be at the forefront of your mind when you're communicating as your brand. It digs deeper into your marketing collateral, how you respond to emails, DMs, or comments on socials, and even how you interact with potential customers/clients. Insta has come out in a statement and said they will be making a bigger push to remove those pesky bots from our beloved app - "We want the content you see on Instagram to be authentic and to come from real people, not bots or others trying to mislead you. Starting today, we will begin asking people to confirm whos behind an account when we see a pattern of potential inauthentic behavior. By prompting the people behind accounts to confirm their inform...ation, we will be able to better understand when accounts are attempting to mislead their followers, hold them accountable, and keep our community safe." So which accounts are at risk? those with large amounts of followers in other countries than their own. if there are clear signs of automation use, such as bot accounts as followers. accounts engaged in inauthentic behaviour (follow-loops & engagement pods included). So what happens if your account is flagged? when you've been identified as a potential bot or fake account, it will continue to function as normal until you need to provide your ID. you'll be asked to prove your identity. your info will be stored securely & deleted within 30 days. if you choose not to provide your ID, you may receive reduced reach, or your account may get disabled. NOW, we don't aim to cause fear or mass panic, cos that's NOT what we're about. If you've been doing the right thing, you've got NOTHING to be worried about. However, if you've been doing the wrong thing, honestly, after following us for a while you should probably have known better. 14.01.2022 5 things we wish wed done earlier in our biz . 1. Automated. We recently published a blog about the tools we use, but we discovered @mydubsado & havent looked back. If wed given this hella helpful tool a crack earlier in our biz journey it would have saved us a LOT of time and stress.... 2. Outsourced. Weve just recently outsourced our bookkeeping and boy is Katy wishing she looked at doing that sooner. Shes spent VERY many hours googling how to reconcile X & X on a Saturday night and lets be real, there were many other ways shed rather have spent it (hint - it involves wine & cheese). 3. Invested in a photoshoot earlier. We FINALLY invested in our first photoshoot with @stepha_doyle about a year into the biz and it was MAGIC. But we wish wed done it sooner because it took us much longer than it needed to before we actually started driving leads and we know that is largely due to not having photos of ourselves to build trust! 4. Trust our gut. Yep, this was a tough one. After working for a toxic AF agency where we had to take every lead that came our way, we werent used to saying no. So it took us a very long time to recognise the red flags and know which potential leads dont actually lay with our strengths and now we actually have the courage to say no. 5. Ask for help. We joined @the.founders.team this year and we seriously wish we had joined it earlier because having a network of likeminded biz owners to ask for help when you need it is INVALUABLE. We used to think it was a sign of a weakness, but now we recognise it as strength. Whats something youre still working on in your biz?

14.01.2022 So I had my first pinch me moment after 3 years in business. I was contacted by the Uni I attended to be one of their success stories. They write an article about how I'd helped businesses pivot during COVID-19, and a little about how I got started in marketing. Its a surreal feeling because Katy Gillies & I have worked long and bloody hard to make Oh My Digital Agency what it is today, but we absolutely still feel that good ol imposter syndrome. If being in busines...s has taught us anything, its to sit back and celebrate the successes. Because whether its a big one or a small one, weve all put our hearts and souls into our businesses and we deserve to be proud of ourselves! 11.01.2022 We've just had our biggest, most exciting week in our business to date. But we can tell you, it's been bloody hard work. Hayley went 12 months of almost full time work in the biz before she could pay herself a full time wage. And Katy went 18 months (with side gigs on the side). So yeah, last week we signed with an awesome new PR Agency to whitelabel their Facebook ads, brought on our first official team member, released our shiny new website AND welcomed a couple of new amaz...ing clients. We've worked blood sweat & glittery tears to get us here. Not to glorify the hustle, but we also want to be totally transparent and getting where we are wasn't a walk in the park. When we started out in biz our previous workplace were harassing us, leaving negative reviews on our Facebook, we didn't know anyone in the industry and we didn't have any financial backing. But we had a goal, to provide no b/s digital marketing to businesses. And with that goal in mind we set out. 3 years later we are still evolving, changing our practices, improving our services and expanding our products daily. Because at the end of the day, this is our retirement plan & we wouldn't have it any other way!

11.01.2022 1 of the KEY ways to have your content seen more is to post consistently. Weve been showing up in your feed almost daily for 3 years now (YUP thats legit. Feel free to fact check). In fact were such social media nerds that we had a content plan, images & a structure for posting before we even officially launched our biz. Hayley spent about 100 (highly entertaining) hours scrolling on through Shutterstock looking up candy minimal images & the aesthetic for the brand was bor...n while she was coming up with their content ideas . A bit back to front but thats SMM for you! Our main tip to help you post consistently . Have a plan. We have a plan for the type of post we need (branded, educational, entertaining or promotional) for every day of the week. That way we never have to rush out last min crap content. Need a structure? 09.01.2022 We were at an event once & someone asked us what our hobbies were. Cue the awkward crickets, because it was in that moment we both realised we dont have any hobbies, because our biz is basically our hobby! 04.01.2022 When we started out in biz we didn't know anyone in our industry and we didn't have a little black book of contacts (although if wed wanted to play dirty we could have poached some of the clients from our previous agency). We'd the mentality programmed into us that anyone else in our industry was purely competition and couldn't be trusted. Now? We're in a group chat where we provide advice and ask for advice from a group of gals who would be considered our competition, bu...t instead, we view them as our community. We give each other leads when were at capacity, and we have calls to brain dump and swap ideas. We didn't have the best role models coming up in our agency career, but we aim to grow to be the type of leaders we wish we had. Safer Shopping - only 1/2 of shoppers were eager to return to physical shops. When (if) the world goes back to normal, but they WILL expect safer shopping experiences. So, what does this look like?... Making sure your website has a secure connection. Choosing merchants with good reputations (& displaying their badges proudly on your website). List easy to understand, terms & conditions and refund policies on your website. Mindful wellness - with so much stress in this new world, people have turned to create moments of calm where possible e.g. cooking, yoga, meditation & art. So, how can you create mindful wellness in your biz? Teach your followers a new skill. Show your followers a tip or trick to improve their lives. Share your own mindful wellness moments. Glocal Community - supporting local has never been so important. Searches for local businesses have increased by 23%. So, how do you communicate with your local audience? Update your Google My Business listing. Communicate your local advantage in your messaging. Connect through social media in local community groups. Gen Z's Regeneration - 41% of the world is under 25. Gen Z is emerging as the most transformed by the pandemic, with them forming the strongest alliances with causes that matter to them. With environmental causes being the most important. So, how do you communicate with Gen Z effectively? Decide if Gen Z is actually your audience and research where they're hiding. Communicate your core brand values in your messaging. Actually make sure you follow through with social proof of your words. Actions speak louder. Connected Convenience - online meetings have become the way of the world. Shoppers are also more likely to do biz with a brand they can message. So, how do you get more message friendly? Add auto-reply r the Q&A feature on Facebook if you can't reply instantly. Reply to all DMs & comments. Add a live chat / FB message feature to your website. Was that helpful?
