18.01.2022 "Dion Hallion, 29, was working in the roof space of a beauty salon in Adelaide last Monday when he received a severe electric shock at about 3pm. Fire crews rushed to the scene, removing sheets of roofing to gain access to the tradesman and lifting him out with a hydraulic crane. Mr Hallion was rushed to hospital, where he died on Saturday."

03.01.2022 "WorkSafe Victoria has withdrawn two charges against the Department of Education relating to an injury to a Ballarat school pupil more than two years ago. "The Little Bendigo Primary School pupil sustained a fractured humerus when a tree branch fell on her at the Nerrina school on March 26, 2018." The school failed to notify WorkSafe of the incident.
03.01.2022 NEW CHIEF AT THE VBA The Victorian Government has appointed Michelle McLean Chief Commissioner at the Victorian Building Authority, a co-regular of Victorian workplaces with WorkSafe and EnergySafe. She replaces from government minister Justin Maddern who was interim commissioner. Ms McLean is the first woman Chief Commissioner to lead the Authority and is an experienced Board Director and an expert in finance, governance and people management.
