16.01.2022 Today, we are celebrating the freedom of a brave 8-year-old girl rescued from sexual exploitation. Last month Chaya* arrived at Hope for Justice’s Lighthouse in... Cambodia and her first question when she arrived was: Is there school here? This Lighthouse is one of 11 aftercare facilities supported by the Young Living Foundation for children who have been exploited or exposed to exploitation. At the Lighthouse, children can participate in school classes to catch up on the education they missed and in vocational skills training. In 2019, 1,387 children participated in these classes across all the Lighthouses. So far in 2020, 617 have participated because of your support. Hope for Justice’s case manager said, I remember Chaya’s bright eyes and huge smile as she inquired about an opportunity to learn. It amazes me how children like her are able to remain so engaged and hopeful after everything they have been through. Chaya’s resilience is indeed inspiring given the abuse she experienced. Living on the streets, with desperation mounting, Chaya’s mother forced her to perform sexual acts on adults for more than a year as they struggled to survive. Since arriving at the Lighthouse, Chaya has received care, support, schooling, and safety. Her case manager added, Despite coming from a family situation that is broken and painful, she has taken the first huge step into freedom. This precious young girl is already a living testimony to a life changed and to a world where slavery ceases to exist. 15.01.2022 Our soils are a reflection of ourselves. The Earth is your body. Literally and figuratively. As we destroy the biology in our soils with antibiotic chemicals wh...ich specifically kill microbes...then it should come as no surprise that our population's own human gut microbiomes are depleted unlike ever before in history. Remember, over 70% over our immune system lives within this complex inner micro-universe of beneficial 'bugs' in your gut. Some will argue we "need" to use toxic chemicals in order to feed the world. Well, this chemical-dependent system is ONE WAY to feed the masses, sure. A way to feed the world with poisonous junk food, devoid of nutrients, with costs artificially lowered by government subsidy, all the while destroying ecology. If someone is stuck in the paradigm of believing we "need" the current chemical model of agriculture, this simply means the evidence of regenerative farming hasn't been explained to them well enough yet. And it likely means this person hasn't been given the safest opportunity to learn something which contradicts their previous belief. That's ok. No reason to get mad, or take it personally. In time, the logic of how Nature works will become undeniable to enough people that the essence of our movement will be "common sense". That's the thing about simple, beautiful truths. His favourite oils during the technique were Dream Catcher, Joy and Transformation, licking my palm after they'd been applied. One chilled out boy at the end. See more
