21.01.2022 RU OK? Today is RU OK day and I have been reflecting on how I have been coping over the craziness that has been 2020. I suspect for all of us this has been one a hell of a year! ... At the beginning of this whole Covid situation I was really struggling. I was glued to the news which was raising my anxious feelings to an all time high. I was lying awake at night worrying about all of the what if’s - what if we lose our jobs? How will we survive financially? - when will I next get to back home to visit my family? I struggled to keep myself motivated with the move to working from home spending more time scrolling the socials than actually getting things done (confession time!) I was scared and felt out of control ( and I HATE not being in control). So I turned to my oils for support along with some key changes to my habits. These little pots of gold have been eye opening in helping me cope with the chaos. I’m sleeping more peacefully, taking less time to fall asleep and no middle of the night moments of panic I’m feeling more grounded and aligned with my purpose and my current and future goals I took control and was able to put clear steps in place to deal with my mental health and self care during this time and that put me in a better position to support my team and family going through their own concerns. Having oils in my toolkit I am realising more and more is the secret to my success, personally, professionally, mentally. I started washing the veggies as I always do and noticed that the veggie cleanse was thicker than usual...looked down at the bottle and I had used FURNITURE POLISH!! ... If I was still using shop bought brands dinner would have been ruined. No way would I have been able to feed food covered in chemical laden furniture polish to my family.
