22.01.2022 Potato Fries With Salsa Picante Chilli Habanero & Salsa Verde + Cheesy Fries ... I am a self-admitted passionate 'potato' fiend, I'm a 'pizza' fiend, I'm a 'fried food' fiend etc ..... Basically, I'm a 'all around food' fiend, I Guess. These delicious potato dishes sure helped to start the day right. When should one potato-loving addict stop ordering potato dishes at every restaurant ? My Answer is : NEVER !!!! Oh My Goodness ! Potatoes are my greatest weakness. I nev...er think twice about ordering potatoes at any given opportunity. The cheesy fries was a gloriously simple dish smothered in cheese sauce and accidentally mixed with my own saliva. Today is time to rekindle our love. lt's like entering a cinema, time seems to stops once you're inside this restaurant. It's truly amazing to become fully immersed into a completely different culture and food. You all know about my undying and unconditional love for Italian food. Korean food in Sydney has definitely come a long way from the old traditional BBQ to KFC ( Korean Fried Chicken ). The competition amongst Korean restaurants is fierce in this neighborhood. To be precise, this entire suburb is densely packed with Asian & Korean restaurants. In order to stand out from the crowd, you need to do... something that very few others are achieving ! Good Food + Good Prices = Good Success. Highly Recommend this place ! We ordered a few tasty dishes on the menu, and we had an awesome time tonight. Authentic Korean specialties - tasty food, comfort food, spicy food for hungry mouths. Ribbon fish flesh is white, dense, moist, and fatty taste very similar like any other fishy-tasting fish ( e.g. mackerel ). It is all about balancing the slightly fishy flavour to suit your taste. To all the people out there, who have tried ribbon fish al...l know how tasty this ' FLATtering ' looking fish can be. Ribbon Fish is one of my all time favorite fish to eat, mainly due to its delicate and moist texture, scaleless skin, strong flavour and not a lot of bones, plus quite easy to cook as long as you know how to handle the fish like a professional ! The flesh is delicate so take extra care when flipping the fish during cooking. 02.01.2022 Home-Cooked : Stir-Fried Xinjiang-Inspired ( ) Cumin, Fennel Seeds & Chili Chicken Hearts With Onions ... This is a very simple and delicious dish to serve over steamed rice for chicken heart lovers. I love cooking for my family and friends. My grandma was an amazing cook, but unfortunately, I can't say the same for my mom. I cooked this dish mainly because I thought my folks would enjoy it. Personally, I don't eat internal organs especially the horrific intestines, kid...ney etc... well, except for Pâté. I don't need to eat hearts, cuz I was born with a 'BIG HEART' ( pun-intended ) The chewy texture of chicken hearts and sweetness of the caramelized onions, plus the hotness of the spices all work extremely well together. 01.01.2022 Home-Cooked Stir-Fried Squid With Snow Peas In Shrimp Paste ... Warning : If you're a picky eater like me, then this post is not for YOU !!! On the other hand, If you're an adventurous eater, you should definitely try this recipe out. "Love 'em or loathe 'em" there's no denying the appeal of this dish to some people but definitely not all people. Today I share a lovely yet highly toxic ( in smell only ) stir fry squid in shrimp paste recipe with you. WHY ? You may ask ! Wel...l, I did it for one reason only ! My Dad casually mentioned the other day that he has been wanting to cook this dish for some time now, but never getting the chance. So, this is my attempt at being a 'PART TIME' good daughter. The Shrimp Paste is made from the fermented extract of salted shrimp - the paste has a sickening pungent fishy odor and shrimpy taste and is enjoyed by many Asian people. To me, the funky smell is just like a cross between stinky feet and fish guts. ( sorry for being brutally honest ) How people can like that, is beyond my comprehension. Helpful Tips : Wear a gas mask while preparing the dish. ( LOL just kidding ) On the plus side, the smell will FADE slightly ( not entirely ) during cooking. GOOD LUCK ! BTW, I'm not trying to shove my own opinion down anyone's throat.
