25.01.2022 Australian Natural Remedies (ANR) provide therapeutic body products combining unique Australian botanicals and active ingredients rich in medicinal properties and health giving benefits. At first, this was the client's preferred direction for their new brand. After quite some time and deliberation however, this slightly braver approach was eventually set aside for a more traditional design. As a designer passionate about striving for unique and engaging solutions, sometimes... it can be challenging when a project doesn't quite turn out as planned. Especially when all the research points to what seems like the right direction. In situations like these I have had to learn ways to achieve the best possible solution while being empathetic to my clients apprehensions. A new brand in a new market comes with a whole lot of financial investment (and risk). I get it. It's not about compromise, merely reshaping the idea into something the client feels comfortable with while still reaching their commercial goals. Check out the final design here: http://www.ojocreative.com.au/brand-identity-design/work Which way would you go?

24.01.2022 Recently I sketched this little portrait of Molly on my iPad. I had so much fun that I'd like to do more. So, I'm offering this out to y'all. Here's the deal, send me a photo (it could be you, a loved one or whoever), I'll sketch it in a similar fashion to the example posted here, then send you a high resolution PDF that you can print off and frame. ... Name your price! I'm still honing my skills so at this stage I'd like to offer this on a donation basis. Sound good? Contact me if interested, like if you like it, and share if you're care.

22.01.2022 ** FRIDAY FLASHBACK** Here's a series of logos I created for Warner Bros. Movie World's Fright Night events a while back. It was a great experience working onsite with the fun crew at Village Roadshow and getting an insight into some of the behind the scene action. If you're after a new logo or a refresh of your existing one, I'd love to chat about how I can help.

15.01.2022 || Before & After || SAM Specialist Air Management Although SAM no longer focused on residential air conditioning, the old identity was still attracting this market causing hours of unproductive contact for both SAM and the consumer.... After a full brand review and industry analysis, it was apparent a new strategy to better communicate SAM's expertise was required. A new name, Specialist Air Management (SAM for short), a professional identity and more concise language better communicates SAM's expertise, repositioning them as industry leaders.
14.01.2022 http:// Data Science and Analytics for Better Business // Lucid Insights (@lucidinsightsconsulting) specialise in enhancing business performance and opportunities through analytics, technology and training. However, we recently discovered when working with Darren Donhardt, Lucid Insights’ founder, that this message wasn't as clear or engaging as he'd hoped. Thanks to our brand review process, we developed a strategy to better define their service offering. By creating clearer lang...uage, imagery and graphics, we were able to refresh the brand in a way that better aligns with their audience. 09.01.2022 Back to my roots! This fun poster design created for Marty's at Caba was created completely by hand due to time and budget constraints. Stylistically it felt like the an appropriate approach. See more of my work @ http://www.ojocreative.com.au/
09.01.2022 Katnich Dodd : Brand Identity Katnich Dodd’s old identity represented a well established company from the 80s, with a conservative sense of assurance but failed to promise innovationa key demand from clients. Underpinning the strategy for their new identity was a stronger, more appropriate positioning line that would retain and build on the goodwill of the existing name'Knowledgeable. Dependable'. This is also a play on the 'KD' initials and arrows formed within the logo ...mark. The new identity reflects a forward thinking and innovative business, backed by an unmatched reputation of knowledge and dependability; assisting to engage with a new customer base of architects and developers. http://www.ojocreative.com.au/work#/katnich-dodd/

07.01.2022 In October 2007, Adelaide based PR agency Michels Warren made the decision to rebrand their design division to ChinaShop. Stemming from the phrase ‘like a bull in a ChinaShop’, the philosophy was simplemake an impact, stand out from the rest. Along with the logo and accompanying collateral, promotional cards were developed as a direct mail piece to build awareness of the new name and creative services. Two hits of opaque white then a red and black ink was applied to an uncoated box-board to create a hand-made feel. The result was a series of unique cards that could be assembled and displayed as a memento.
06.01.2022 Le Mistral Logo Design Thought I'd share a little background on this project and a quick insight into my process when creating a logo. Before starting any branding project, whether it be a full brand or just a logo, my aim is to gain as much understanding of my client's business, objectives, market and audience as possible. This process provides me with insight and direction for developing a unique and appropriate logo and/or brand.... In this instance, the restaurant name 'Le Mistral' derives from the strong, cold, northwesterly wind that blows from southern France into the Gulf of Lion in the northern Mediterranean specifically the Camargue region, where the owner and chef originates. The name also comes from the Languedoc dialect of the Occitan and means masterly, a sentiment that is reflected in the fine dining experience and quality of food on offer. This information coupled with research on design aesthetics from the region provided inspiration for the final logo. It wasn't a large budget, but nevertheless, the time spent in understanding the brief, talking to the client and researching was still invaluable in achieving a successful outcome. 06.01.2022 Kundalini Rising Another fun project for Brilliance and Fire. These short animations were created as part of a social media campaign for Brilliance and Fire, aimed to promote weekly classes, provide insight to this ancient technology and to communicate the physical and energetic benefits experienced from the kriyas (a series of kundalini exercises). ... Based on the idea of a kundalini text book, the exercises come to life to demonstrate the actions in a fresh and engaging way. See more @ http://www.ojocreative.com.au/

04.01.2022 A nice little brand for a nice little flower shop Investing time and money into a well considered brand is no different or any less important than having a solid business plan. Setting a strong foundation for your brand will provide clarity and direction. It can prop you up in the beginning and provide the basis for further growth and improvement. Businesses of all sizes need this and can achieve it. It deosn't matter if your big or small, it's completely scalable. ... Sure large businesses have large budgets therefore are able to employ large creatives to handle their large brands (phew, that’s a LARGE sentence!). But small business can achieve the same successes and build a brand that is unique, appropriate and engaging within an achievable budget. All it takes is insight, creativity and a realistic and affordable plan for implementation, it's all relative.
