25.01.2022 Book Week Dress-up Day! We always love celebrating book week with a big dress-up day, highlighting the joy that books and reading brings us. We’ve had a wonderful day at Okeedokee, reading lots of new books, exploring stories, creating some of our own, and then listening to a special reading of Grannysaurus Rex by Granny herselfbefore chasing her T-Rex self around the yard It has been lovely seeing the children’s enthusiasm and listening to them excitedly tell us about their favourite stories.

25.01.2022 Our Bubbees and Todlees have had a lovely morning, enjoying what would ordinarily have been an event to celebrate Mothers Day. Our mums had written down some of the things they like doing at home, since they cant be with us themselves; our Todlees and Bubbees have then had a lovely morning reading stories, going on bushwalks, doing some gardening and having some wine and tea parties! (...with water ) We love you Mums!

Plus I mean, who doesnt love looking at baby photos?

23.01.2022 So exciting to have another visit from Superhero Recycleman, once again flying in to educate and enlist some new recycling superheroes! Recycleman spoke about the different bins we might have at home, the different items we can and can’t recycle, and why it’s important for our Earth that we do as much as we can. Transforming into little superheroes, our preschoolers played some games, learned about the recycling triangles, and are all ready and rearing to up our recycling game! Thank you once again Superhero Recyleman! Recycleman Show

22.01.2022 Science Week means more demonstrations with Mr Josiah! Our older rooms were treated to a morning of experiments balls hovered, rockets flew, lids popped to the roof and containers overflowed, all to Woops of excitement and surprise. The children have performed many of these experiments in different ways throughout the week, so this was a lovely opportunity to see how they occur on a larger or louder scale, or how some reactions change with slightly different ingredients. Hooray for science! Afterwards the children were again able to try many of the experiments for themselves and use their investigative minds in new waysalthough it wasnt long before all of the rockets were on the roof

21.01.2022 As the first in an exploration of senses, our Preschoolers have been learning about tongues and how they work. Today it was time to put their taste buds to the test with blind tasting! What a fun experience, trying to work out the different foods by taste alone
