16.01.2022 Its been an extremely hard week of goodbyes. As I closed Okely Dokely Family Day Cares doors, for the final time today. I realised just how many beautiful memories, my children and I have made with the Day Care Children and their families. All the amazing milestones I have had the privilege of being apart of for the past 4 yrs. I must say a huge Thankyou to all the families who have entrusted their beautiful children into my care. The amazing community who supported my ...business and helped me to achieve this dream. Its been a journey of growth and many challenges but one I will look back on with a smile and know that I gave a piece of my heart to each of the children who came through my doors. 16.01.2022 CHECK YOUR BABY’S TOES DAILY! ‘Hair tourniquet’ is a when a strand of hair wraps around a body part tightly cutting into the skin or even cutting off circulat...ion. This happens when a hair or thread is lost loosely inside a baby’s sock or onesie and wraps around a toe, but this could also happen on a finger and boys’ genitals. Usually the first sign of this serious condition is inconsolable crying from the baby, so it’s important to check your baby’s body all over if you are unsure why they won’t stop crying. Postpartum mothers tend to lose a lot of hair, increasing the baby’s exposure to hair so it’s important to be checking baby’s socks and tiny toes daily. Have you ever heard of this? Have you ever had this experience with your child?

13.01.2022 Centrelink is in the process of balancing your CCS for fy19. There will be one of 3 outcomes: 1. For some families, there wont be any further action required as they correctly estimated their income and received the correct amount of CCS during the year. In this case, a family will have their 5% withheld CCS paid directly to them. 2. Some families may not have been paid enough CCS during the year. If this happens, theyll be paid any outstanding amounts directly. DHS call th...is a top up payment. 3. Other families may have been paid too much CCS during the year. If this happens, families may owe money, which they have to pay back to DHS. DHS may recover overpayments of CCS from future CCS, Family Tax Benefit (FTB) payments (including arrears), FTB top ups and supplements as well as tax refunds. In order for your CCS to be balanced, you and your partner must lodge a tax return or advise Centrelink that you do not have to. https://youtu.be/DRskoilbZFQ

01.01.2022 || YARRIAMBIACK CHILDCARE SURVEY IS HERE! || This is your chance to have your say - not only is a childcare service desperately needed in our area, it is absolu...tely critical for attracting skilled workers & new young families to our town!! Currently the only continuing, 5 day-a-week childcare services are in Horsham, which severely disadvantages families & businesses in the Rupanyup/Murtoa/Minyip region. Who should complete this survey? - All families in the Murtoa, Rupanyup, Minyip townships & surrounds with pre-school & school aged children - Any Families who commute from other towns to work in the Murtoa, Rupanyup, Minyip townships or surrounds. - Individuals without children but planning to start a family in the next 5-8 years, that are living or working within the Murtoa, Rupanyup, Minyip townships & surrounds. The Yarriambiack Shire Council is listening & wants to help - but their response depends on this survey. YSC have mailed the survey to each household in the shire - if you didnt receive one, contact Gavin at YSC 0427 680 253, [email protected] and he will get one to you. Or print attached form and post to Yarriambiack Shire Council, PO Box 243 Warracknabeal 3393.
