20.01.2022 "TAKE IT GREASY" ALBUM BY OL'55 FIRST CHARTED ON THIS DAY IN 1976...Take It Greasy first charted on 24th of May 1976, peaked at 3rd position, and stayed in the charts for 39 weeks. Take It Greasy is the debut studio album to be released by Australian 1950's retro band Ol' 55. The album peaked at number 3 on the Australian Kent Music Report and was certified 3x platinum. At the time, 1950s music and culture had gained a newfound interest in Australia amongst a younger generation, largely due to the influence of the very popular TV show Happy Days and earlier investigations into doo-wop by the group Daddy Cool.

Would like to say all the best to all of you lovely supporters on both The Official and Fans Pages of OL'55, THANKS for your wonderful loyalty. Yes we've all had to shelve plans including OL'55, however i know you will all snap back into action when the right time permits. Regarding the live performances of OL'55, we will not stop the rock.
