08.01.2022 Flying high at the top of the table, the 1s came across relegation contenders West Ryde Rovers. Upon arriving at a field more in likeness to Wembley than Timmy pothole Tuckwell, the 1s where able to put on a masterclass, with Jimmy bagging a first half double and second half goals to Carl and Geita to end convincing winners with a 4-0 win. The first game for 2s under the Sunday Night Lights on a newly refurbished synthetic field had much of the team salivating at the though...t of a predictable bounce. With another tough defensive performance at the hands of the best team to date, combined some goal line clearances from Epping saw the 2s go down 1-0. The 8s where up against it from the get go, conceding within the first 5 mins. This proved the turning point in the match, with the 8s getting the best of the run of the match. Unfortunately, they werent able to capitalise on their momentum going down 1-0. With another Tuckwell triple header coming up this Sunday the 6th of May, the lads are looking for another 9 point day. 04.01.2022 OLD IGNATIAN MOVEMBER TEAM!! The Movember movement, is a quirky fundraiser, that many Old Ignatians are already involved in. A group of boys from OR2012 are looking to mobilise all the existing efforts of Old Ignatians, by creating the "Old Ignatian Mo Bros" Movember team, and we are hoping a lot of the boys from the Football Club can get involved too!! By creating the team, we are hoping we can raise a greater amount of money for this incredible Foundation, then if we compet...ed as individuals/smaller teams. Additionally, we will hopefully encourage a few extra people to get involved. This is certainly not limited just to Old Ignatians, rather friends, family and colleagues of the wider OIU network are all warmly invited to join the team. As Old Boys of an all-male College, Men's Health should be a particularly important cause and concern to us all. The Movember foundation focuses on providing much needed funding for the research and treatment of Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. If you're interested in joining the "Old Ignatian Mo Bros" or would like to make a donation - follow the link to the team's official Movember page - https://moteam.co/old-ignatian-mo-bros?mc=1 Additionally, join the team's facebook group for regular updates - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2072823686364326/ See more

02.01.2022 NIGHT 1 of GRAND FINAL WEEK. EXCITED TO SEE EVERYONE DOWN AT CHRISTIE PARK NO.1 AT 3.45PM TO CHEER ON OUR MIGHTY AA1'S

02.01.2022 The first triple header of the season saw the great game return to the home of football, Timmy Tuckwell. The day started perfectly with the 8s putting in a gritty performance to maximise the most of their chances to get up 2-0 with goals to CJ and Isaac Chia and goal line headed clearance from Bainos. The winless 2s coming off the back off a tough lost and were fired up to post their first W. Having been on the back foot the majority of the game, a late freekick at the end of... the first half offered the first glimpse of goal. James Georgeson dutiful slotted the free around the wall into the side netting to put the 2s ahead 1-0 with some tough defence seeing out the clean sheet. The 1s sailing on a high at the top of the table knew it was their job to see out the first Timmy Tuckwell clean sweep of the season. Dominating from the get go the boys got up 3-0 inside of 20 minutes with goals to Conor, Carlos and Corn on the back of some beautiful build up play to run home easy winners. A sensational effort from all involved ensured 3 Ws without a goal conceded on the day put wind back into the OIFC sails. #OIFC #MOGA #cleansweep

01.01.2022 A friendly reminder that we are ON for preseason training TODAY rain, hail or shine. 4pm sharp Blackman Park. Bring along boots and joggers. See you then!... OIFC
