We are on a tight schedule, so please ensure your team is ready to start at allocated time. 2 x 20 minute halves, straight turn around at half time. Legends League rules apply. Please ensure your team plays in the spirit of the Legends competition. Referees decision is final. Each player listed on nomination form will receive a free burger and soft drink. Barbecue, bar and canteen will be open. McGrath Foundation merchandise will be available for sale, including football socks, caps, wristbands, and stubby coolers. Ranging in price from $2 to $10. All profits (nomination fees, merchandise, and barbecue sales) will be donated to The McGrath Foundation.

23.01.2022 Another season of Old Women's Football nearly finished!! Congratulations to Holland Park Hawks who take out another season as Premiers!! An amazing achievement and something to be extremely proud of! Can they make it a triple and take it out again next season!! Holland Park finished with 46 points, 14 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses, 58 goals for and 13 against! Top effort!! Congratulations to all the teams that participated this year and we look forward to the competition growi...ng and hopefully we see a few new teams join up next season!! The finals series played out with the first eliminiation final, Park Ridge FC 2 (goal scorer's J Jones and D Graham) taking on Capalaba 4 (with 3 of 4 goals being scored by Womens Premier League players C Johnson, K Kelly, S Latham and S Tatsuoka). Holland Park Hawks took on Centenary Stormers in a nail biter that saw the game end at 0-0 and Stormers winning on penalties 2-3! Hawks then progressed to the Preliminary Final against Capalaba the game finishing in favour of Capalaba 3 (with Womens Premier League players S Lantham (2) and C Johnson scoring the goals) Hawks 2 (goal scorer's S Lowth and D Kindermann)! Centenary Stormers and Capalaba Bulldogs now play on Friday 9/09/2016 Kick Off 7.15pm at Atthows Park, Monier Road, Darra in the Grand Finals. Can Stormers take it out again this year?? hopefully all the Legends will come along and support these two teams and put on a good crowd for Old Womens Football. Canteen will be open and alcohol available at the bar. Another big congratulations to Vicki Stagg who started this competition as a way for those of us who wished to play socially without the headache of chasing young guns or having to deal with higher graded footballers and just get out there and have some fun!! Hopefully next year will see the League banded (like the City League) so that it is played in the spirit it is meant to be, a social comp for oldies!! Thank you for participating in the 2016 LEGENDS COMPETITION!

22.01.2022 The 2018 Legends Cup has received very strong interest this year and the competition will be capped at 12 teams only. If you havent yet lodged your nomination form (regardless of the deadline date of 16 Feb), do so quickly to secure your place. The Cup will kick off at 3.00pm across 3 fields with a guaranteed 3 games per team. See you on the 24th !! Team Managers will get an email after 17 February with the draw and more details.

19.01.2022 2018 ANNUAL WOMENS LEGENDS CUP WRAP UP The 2018 Annual Womens Legends Cup has concluded for another year - after an initial washout on 24 February, the Cup was played on 3 March 2018 with 10 teams from all over Brisbane coming together to try and take home the title. The chosen charity was HeartKids and they were definitely the winner on the day with over $5,500.00 raised from registration fees, raffle ticket sales, massages/physio and merchandise sales.... Acknowledgements must go to our generous sponsors including the Damsma Family, Point of View Restaurant Wellington Point, Australian Independent Vendors, Marriott Resort Surfers Paradise, Andrews Meats Hyperdome, Earth Markets Hyperdome, Costco, Woolworths Victoria Point East, Woolworths Cornubia and a special mention to the Wonkey Donkeys who could not make the rescheduled tournament date and donated their team entry fees to the charity. We must not forget our tireless volunteers, Ray (photographer), Jim (PA announcer), Kerry (timekeeper), Liz (food organiser), Lynne (for organising the Referees), the Referees themselves, Amanda (Wot Knot Therapies) and Physio on Bayside (for massages and strapping), Penny on merchandise sales, Heather/Kylie on raffle ticket sales, Redlands United team members, Leftovers team members but the biggest mention must go to our very own HeartKids, Annabella, Callum and Amy who ran all over the fields selling raffle tickets, collecting score cards from the referees, trading the drinks vouchers for cold drinks and chatting to all the players and spectators throughout the hot afternoon/evening. 02.01.2022 News Update on Legends Comp. I am very sad to announce that Holland Park will no longer be in the competition. They have won the premiership each year. Ipswich have also withdrawn. However the comp lives on and we have 8 Teams starting in Late March. Welcome to the new teams. University of Qld and Bethania!!!
