23.01.2022 "Uni students get a reasonable amount of holidays, but we need an incentive to bring our best and brightest into the regions during times when we need people to... help with picking." The NT Farmers Association is proposing a new idea to get uni students into farm work, where students would receive a discount off their HECS debt. What do you think? 13.01.2022 Sound on! This will make you smile This hard-working farm crew in north-west Tasmania love to take a break to sing together in the swede paddock!... The workers are from Kiribati, an island in the Central Pacific. A special working holiday agreement between Kiribati and Australia means this crew works on the Tasmanian farm for a good chunk of the year. : Harvest Moon - Forth Farm

11.01.2022 Please Help..? Can we ask a favour? We send out around 15 to 20 tonnes of Rubigolds to the markets around Australia every week. Thats approx 80 to 100 000 apple...s! So we know a lot of people are eating and enjoying them. What we find hard to find out is actually where they are being sold. We do chase up the information from our distributors but this constantly changes. This exercise is to see if social media can enlighten us all as to where they are currently available for sale. So if we can ask? If you have purchased some Rubigolds recently could you comment on this post, the name of the retail outlet purchased from, the suburb and state. Your comment may just help someone nearby who is on the look out for some. Thanks for your time.... I think this could be helpful to us all. If no one replies It will prove to us that only hard core, off grid warriors with no internet survive on Rubigolds and dont want to share their new found wonderfood with anyone. Lol

10.01.2022 The Girls have arrived (24 + 2) = 28!

08.01.2022 We have another competition! What name do you think we should give our new blue tractor and mulch spreader? The prize for the best name is a kilo of our first blueberries for the season, coming soon. And, we will get the new name written on the tractor for all to see!

07.01.2022 We are planning to do our first pick for the season this week. It will only be a couple of kilos. Casey Lee and Beata Plucinska get a kilo each as the winners of our tractor & mulch spreader naming competition. Jenn Green gets a kilo as the runner up in our chicken naming competition and we have decided to auction off our very first kilo, with the money going to a charity of the highest bidder's choice. We will match your bid. If you want to be part of it, send in your bid.

07.01.2022 The plot deepens ....

07.01.2022 First they worked on a Mars rover project. Now they are trying to save Australia's bees. The blood-sucking parasite, varrora mite, is deadly to bees. Austra...lia is the only continent free from varroa. These purple hives use tiny cameras and artificial intelligence to detect any hitch-hiking mites.

05.01.2022 Our auction for our first berries has been a bit of a fizzer, so we are going to give it one more try. The first berries of the season are the biggest and sweetest from each bunch - a delicious selection of berries. We have decided to auction off the first bunch, which will be picked this week, with the money going to a charity of the winner's choice. Make a bid and we will match it dollar for dollar. Our current bid is $20 generously made by Marija.
