19.01.2022 Sad to say we have suffered our first major theft since we have been open. Some body came well prepared, cut through a steel padlock that locked the cage housing the water pump, and stole the pump! Out of action for a few days while we sort it out.

19.01.2022 We are happy to welcome our guests this weekend for a three night stay. It is a wedding present, given to them on the big day as a gift voucher, and now they finally get to stay with us. They are sitting back in the comfy leather lounges, sipping some of our complimentary Flete Station Block Heritage Shiraz, feet up in front of the roaring fire. Enjoy.

17.01.2022 Howdy. Today we welcomed our first guests for the autumn season (down here in Oz our autumn/ fall is through April May). That means cosy nights by the fire, good food from any of the great eateries nearby, good wine, relaxation. Pictured here is our typical welcome plate for guests: a complimentary bottle of our own Flete Station Block Heritage Shiraz, dukkah, balsamic and virgin olive oil. Plus a loaf of our own home baked Pane De Casa. In the fridge are local free range eggs, local smoked bacon and sausages, tomatoes, juice and fresh ground coffee - all included in the rate for a two night stay. 15.01.2022 Things are quiet around the Old Church School at the moment (it is our off-season, summer being just a bit too warm in this part of the world, so Jo and I are planning a quiet few days for ourselves enjoying the tranquility of our lovely second home. 15.01.2022 The Old Church School last weekend welcomed guests who were staying in our glorious valley to attend the Chris Isaak concert at Annie's Lane winery. Fabulous autumn weather and a lovely night for the show, then back to the Old Church School for a glass of Flete Station Block Shiraz on the veranda. Next few weeks are busy with bookings coming in for the start of the winter season. Log fires, glass of red, snuggled up....bliss. make your reservations now.

15.01.2022 As we had no guests at the Old Church School last weekend Jo and I spent a lovely few days there catching up on some chores and maintenance. We trimmed some trees, cleaned up the grounds and built a new (bigger) fire pit. It was cold, cold, cold with heavy frost some mornings but simply beautiful, Tranquil, peaceful, lovely light. 11.01.2022 The Old Church School hosted a recording session for Desert Dog Studios. New songs by talented Cale Morgan recorded with James Stewart- Rattray (bass and production) and Enrico Mick Morena on drums. A great day, successful, relaxing.

New coat of paint on the timber, oiled all the cedar windows, massive cleanup in the garden. Looking great for autumn and the cooler B&B season. Getting in the fire wood. After a hot day working we sat on the porch with a cold beer and watched the sun go down Jo snapped this lovely pic.....looking south across the stubble

Jo had just returned from NYC and her work at UNHQ, and I needed to chill out and get some jobs done so we are ready for our winter season.
