28.01.2022 Images show removal of 58 tonnes of concrete topping and walls to enhance the structural integrity of the first floor. This area was the old social club and kitchen area of the former Darwin CBA, once housing a large pool table. I understand that the room provided for pool competitions for American soldiers on R&R from WWII, one of the few social spots in the 1960's and the start of the Banks football club. I would be grateful for any information or knowledge of the past uses of this area of the building.
