24.01.2022 Hey we made @barossaleader today! Cant wait for things to start happening! If you want to help out for working bees you need to complete the online induction at @thebarossacouncil and send in the Application form. Ill put up links in comments.

24.01.2022 The warriors have begun! Die you suckers!

22.01.2022 Wow! They say many hands make light work. Well we didn't have 'many' hands but they were awesome ones! The courts are looking amazing! And the toilets will blind you with their gleaming surfaces! We are now sitting around a card table in the dark with wine and nibbles, after enjoying a sausage in bread! Absolute gold! Ross donated a beautiful table as well as his time today, along with Tammy, Penny, John, Dave, Robyn, Kaye, Phil, Mike and Pauline! We worked hard but such an awesome day!

10.01.2022 Working Bee #2 this Sunday . List of jobs below. It's Mother's Day but are you still able to put in an hour or two? Tea, coffee, soft drinks available and sandwiches for lunch. -Finishing off around the outside of the courts, removing scrub and build-up of debris, create a burn pile... -Washing inside walls with sugar soap -Put in a first rain flush on the tank (need parts) -Line mark the courts This job is for down the track but does anyone have access to new corrugated iron at a cheap price? The wood on the toilets is in bad shape in parts and it was decided the best thing to do is to re-clad the building.

10.01.2022 Centre Court is ready for action!

08.01.2022 When you are going past the Cromer School House you might notice something a little different! Yay we now have a tank! Yippie! Big thanks to Coopers Farm Supplies, MJD Bobcat & Tipper Hire, David and Robyn Bradley, Mike and Pauline Williams for putting in their time this afternoon! David removed tge tank a couple of weeks ago, Michael from MJD Bobcat laid the new pad and we all helped position the tank and David kindly put nearly 2000 litres of water in it. Gutters were cleaned and next job is plumbing in the tank . Of course it was time for a bit of celebration!

05.01.2022 Another couple of hours done and we got all the Cape tulip that we could see and all the euphorbia lathyris (caper spurge) has been pulled. We also tackled some other weeds around the school house. Thank you volunteers! Next project is the tank pad and new tank to be installed - watch this space!

04.01.2022 Things are starting to happen at the old Cromer School House with the council coming by the other week to look at a few things. David Bradley has agreed to collect the tank and we are looking at new ovens. The old stove and fridge have been collected and gone to recycling. If you are willing to help with working bees please complete this form and send it to council and also complete the on-line volunteer induction. ... 04.01.2022 Wow did you see yesterday's post "Centre Court open for action"!? Well a lot went in to making that happen! Yesterday David was busy trimming over hanging trees and also produced this lovely wood caddy he built for beside the fire place! We also had Andrew, Mike, Ross, Dan, Kaye, Phil, Kath and Pauline working hard to get required things done by end June. 1.5 courts are done, the far end court had so much built up dirt it has set like concrete! We are hoping CFS might be able to help us out here by blasting it before we line paint. Today new lights were installed inside, oven connected, toilet sensor light as well as required smoke and Co2 sensors! Its all happening and we can't wait, we have so many things we want to do. Next working bee 22/23 May - day and time to be confirmed!
