25.01.2022 What a bummer pub crawl cancelled, at this time n date my daughter and I should be drinking at the international terminal, awaiting our plane to Dublin first and, then on through Scotland for a two week drinking session. Oh well, maybe next year Happy, safe trails everyone
24.01.2022 Here for a couple of days because I didn’t get enough cold weather in the Hawksbury
24.01.2022 Today was another day of painting Matilda.Top coat of white done ( almost) plus my niece Simone was back on the roof finishing that off We were ten minutes out of finish line and we mistakenly filled our paint tins with bloody primer f##k paint turned to jelly So tomorrow we have to sand about half a meter back to finish the white off Jude will be finishing the high bits that I can’t reach. (Don’t know why I wasn’t born the tall one) Hoping by the weekend the next color wil...l be on then the signage (Fingers and everything else crossed) Happy, safe trails everyone Cheers See more
23.01.2022 Our 2 day get away
21.01.2022 This bunch of amateurs finally finished Matilda. She’s Spick n span and ready to go. We’re heading down the south coast to Windang for a couple of days on her inaugural run (let’s hope the paint doesn’t peel off) Can’t thank the mighty effort from the family. Simone the roof restorer Jude for the high paint placement and steady hand. John the chalk gun king and new exhaust tail repairer ... Ben for replacing damaged awning As for me I did all the lower bits and the pin striping, while expressing most of the colorful language Zanthia (5 years old) who declared herself the boss yesterday, painted pictures of us all, doing our designated jobs and then placed big ticks next to each one that was finished. In between telling us to get back to work if we slacked off. Kids! The best thing off all was the supply of sandwiches and a cuppa from whoever happened to go inside around lunch time. So from the bottom of this Old Ducks heart, throwing out a huge thank you to you all, even all the neighbors who couldn’t resist wandering by to check the progress. I’m pretty sure they were as impressed as us now that it’s finally finished and looks dam good. Only a few bits to go, when I get to sign writers So for everyone out there that’s thinking of restoring their RV, have a go, nothing to it, just don’t call us. See you along the white line Happy, safe trails everyone Cheers See more
21.01.2022 After all the partying last week, it was time for me to move on. So Sunday morning left Dungog about 8am for a mad rush to Qld before it got dark. With all the new COVID cases popping up I was worried they would decided to close the border Monday and just as well. Really don’t think I would have got through today I also missed the rush of people crossing for work. I was very happy that Matilda arrived with her new paint job still in tact. Thanks for the great work from my ex...cellent family team of painters Sorry didn’t catch up with all of my other beautiful friends on the way I was sad thinking of you as I drove through your hometowns but scary times and hopefully we’ll catch up ????? It only took about 10 minutes for the border check, still had a bit of a hic-cup, with area hot spots, but all good, this damm pandemic hits here I’ll probably head north to outrun any more border closures NT will be the state to run to next. Bloody hell it’s a shocker, 6 months of our lives disrupted, but I guess it’s better than the alternative. Well that’s it for me today, behave yourselves out there (not) There ain’t much more you can do. I’m off for a walk to try and knock off the extra kilos from food , alcohol and bloody lockdown Happy Trails, stay safe Cheers

Also stopped at the blowhole for a very windy peek We’ll be hiring the road to head back to McGraths Hill for Jude n Johns work commitments and wash a very dirty RV Surprisingly no paint has peeled off Mat...ilda , heading back to Dungog next week Happy, safe trails everyone Cheers See more
15.01.2022 Most non planning hasn’t eventuated I’m still in Paradise Point, and will more than likely still haunt the area till after Christmas Had a few little health issues, my own fault I guess not a great believer in the medical side of things usually a self healer, but when you don’t go for at least 6 years I guess a few oddities catch up Anyhow here for a while. Certainly can’t complain being this close to the views plus lovely spot for Matilda beside the pool, with great weather... now it’s definitely not half bad. Will share the time between here and Canungra when the country calls and the ever awesome Canungra Pub If you are on the road remember ..... Safe, happy trails everyone See more

07.01.2022 As you May know I checked into a caravan park in Scone for the last couple of days as my daughter was working up there and the long hours of back and forth driving was taking its toll If you haven’t been to Scone it’s a little like a lot of country towns at the moment and suffering with many sho closures. Never the less the people are very friendly I couldn’t help myself by posting a few picks of signs in the park we stayed in. It must be suffering to by the look of things a...nd the people that stay there, hence the signage, but it did make me smile Certainly needs a little TLC but The showers were nice and hot and the toilets did have seats. Happy, safe trails everyone Cheers See more
