25.01.2022 Hello OWC followers. Hope you all had a great weekend and are recharged for a new week.We reclaimed 2 doors that belonged to a post office in town of Borden. Wi...th a history behind them we decided to clean, add a shelf and use them as our back drop display in our market stall.The second pic shows it with our display and the table was also made from recycled wood and original paint .These doors will not open doors again and now retired but will live on for another 80 years. 24.01.2022 Welcome to our new followers I thought it might be nice to tell you a little bit about us We are a couple who are based in Albany and have a passion for up cycling and reinventing olde yesteryear pieces. We use old pickets fencing,barn doors,old rustic hardware just to name a few of the things that get the olde creativity going The mastermind behind the shed door is an olde school cabinet maker with a very creative mind(my stepdad Peter) The female flare of the busines...s with the paint brush is my mum(Sue) then there is me(Julz) your page admin and Perth based contact for any deliveries in the metro area. All of our gorgeous pieces are new built not antiques however with the use of olde recycled wood they are made to look olde beyond their years. 21.01.2022 Our house looks like a bird house sanctuary waiting for customers to collect them.A row of them looks like Brighton Beach shacks in Melbourne.We were going to take the pictures down the beach like the real shacks but weather was bad, Still have to make another 23 and another order came for 20 more. Just hope we dont go coo coo making and painting that many :)

15.01.2022 Hi everyone. To celebrate Australia Day week we made a toilet paper holder that looks like an Aussie outdoor dunny. It had lots of laughs and intrests. There is a comical small toilet sandpaper roll inside the door "in case of emergency use this". We will have more made from next week .The price is $50 and we will work out a postage to Perth also

06.01.2022 Hi everyone. The farmhouse cupboard for a customer is finished. It has a nice warm blue color with rustic chunky look. The top came out better looking than we thought.

06.01.2022 Hi Every one. The weather in Albany has been cold and raining and the paint is slow to dry. I hope to have the pictures of the meat safe in a few days once completed. In the mean time Peter has started on a new project for a customer,, When we were in Tasmania on vacation we went to a few antiques shops (Yeah? A few???.... As if......) and saw a farmhouse cupboard we fell in love with but could not take it with us. The original doors had center panels missing and the owner .replaced the panels with chook wire. This one will have fly screen wire mash. Well post pictures as it it being made. Have a pleasant evening and this idea in the picture from pintrest has us hunting for old shovels and forks:)

05.01.2022 We are currently making a meat safe which was one of our biggest sellers in the past. Cabinet is ready to be painted and stressed. No matter how many we made we never get tired of the top wood grain which reveals its own grain and can never be duplicated. Sometimes it gives a pleasant surprise when sanded back.

05.01.2022 A sneak-peek snowman for Xmas which is at planning stage. It will be about 60 cm high and about 30 cm wide. It can stand by a Xmas tree or outside the front door welcoming guests or bolted to a picket fence in the garden. In about mid Nov we will have some for sale at $35 each.
