20.01.2022 Sometimes the harsh drying climate can make gardening more difficult by drying the soil and causing it to become water repellent. We have a remarkable product "Penetraide" which allows the water to penetrate to the plants roots where it is most needed and enhances the soils ability to absorb moisture, increasing plant growth. This mix also contains a slow release fertiliser which works in combination with the re-wetting granules for optimum plant growth. Just sprinkle around your pot plants, garden beds, shrubs, fruit trees, lawns and water will penetrate and be absorbed for up to 12 months, even after a complete dryout

07.01.2022 MULCHING There are four important reasons to mulch. The first, and probably the most important, is for water conservation. Mulch stops the top of the soil drying out, keeps the soil moist, and can reduce watering by about 60 per cent. Mulching also prevents weeds and weed seed germination, which compete with plants for moisture and nutrients. Mulching also keeps the soil temperature constant, and using an organic mulch means youre adding extra organic matter to the soil. 01.01.2022 Further to my post yesterday with regards to the COVID-19 rules Just received a further message from the Nursery Industry Association - who have been liasing with the NSW Minister for Agriculture and Western New South Wales on behalf of Members. The Ministers Policy Director has Confirmed with the NGIA that ALL Nurseries - retail, wholesale and production are considered "essential services" and should conduct "business as usual", however, we need to follow all formal advice and recommendations surrounding COVID-19 concerning social distancing and hygiene.
