16.01.2022 Every six years Jesuit Provinces appoint a new Provincial. Fr Brian McCoy SJ completes his term this year. This morning Fr General, Arturo Sosa SJ, appointed Fr... Quyen Vu SJ as the next Provincial of the Australian Province. Fr Quyen will assume this new role on January 1, 2021. Fr Quyen is 51 years of age. He entered the Australian Province of the Jesuits in 1994 and was ordained in Sydney in 2004. Since 2015 he has worked in Cambodia and is currently Rector of Xavier Jesuit School, in Sisophon. He previously served as Rector of Colegio de San Incio de Loyola in Timor Leste. He has also taught at St Aloysius College, Kirribilli and Loyola Senior High School, Mt Druitt in Sydney. We are pleased to hear of Fr Quyens appointment and pray for him as he prepares to leave his mission in Cambodia and begin this new challenge in Australia.
