21.01.2022 OMFC SEEKING RESERVES COACH 2020 Old Melburnians Football Club (OMFC) is seeking applications for the position of Reserves Head Coach in the Premier Reserve Competition of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). OMFC Reserves have competed in the last two Premier Reserves Grand Finals achieving the highest honor in 2018. The club has appointed a new senior coach and 4 assistants who will work closely with the Reserves coach and group.... OMFC will celebrate its 100th year in 2020 and will be looking to further strengthen the development of its reserves and senior program. The club currently has a very talented playing list that is eager to learn and develop, determined to achieve team success. 21.01.2022 THICK & THIN ROUND #TapeUpForYourMates At OMFC we are committed to decreasing the stigma around mental health issues, facilitating discussions and ensuring our players and volunteers know what support is available. This Saturday 18th May all OMFC players will #TapeUpForYourMates and wear two stripes of blue tape on their right forearm in support of mental health awareness.... OMFC we will hosting an Afternoon Tea upstairs at Elsternwick Park during Seniors Half Time for all supporters. A game day raffle will be drawn with great prizes to be won! 19.01.2022 On Saturday 20th of July, Old Melburnians Football Club held a Premiership Reunion and Past Players lunch at Elsternwick Park. We welcomed back past players and friends to celebrate the 1959 and 1994 premierships. All guests really soaked up the atmosphere and tales of old battles. On behalf of the 1994 legends, Jeremy Nichols presented the long lost premiership cup back to the Club and it is now in a very safe spot on show in our trophy cabinet. ... Throughout this year a significant number of past players have re-connected with the club, a trend we hope to continue well into the future. We encourage all past players to join us at Elsternwick Park for the remainder of this year and beyond.

We would not only like to thank you all for attending the official Season Launch, but for your support and commitment to the OMFC for 2019 and beyond.... 17.01.2022 It is with great pleasure that OMFC inform of the appointment of Paul Satterley as Senior Coach for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Paul has a rich history in football as a VFL premiership player and the 1995 JJ Liston Medal winner as the best and fairest player in the VFL Competition. Following his playing career, Paul developed his coaching prowess with head coaching positions in the TAC and VFL Competitions, before joining Melbourne FC as development coach, in 2012. Most recent...ly Paul has been a prominent figure in the VAFA Competition with Senior Coaching roles with both De La Salle and Old Xavier. Not only does Paul bring extensive football knowledge, but also incredibly strong values and cultural alignment to OMFC. We cant wait for the year ahead with Satts! @vafahq #sattswhatimtalkingabout

The OMFC will celebrate its 100th year in 2020 and its 5th consecutive year in VAFAs Premier A division. ... The club currently has a very talented playing list with great depth that is eager to learn and develop, determined to achieve team success. The OMFC has also recently moved into its new $6.4m facility at Elsternwick Park and arguably has the best facilities of any team in the VAFA. Applicants for the senior coaching role will need to demonstrate the following to be considered: - A passion for driving a fun, strong and inclusive club culture across all teams - A well-developed game plan to be implemented with a clear and consistent approach supported by prior success - A structured, organised and disciplined approach to both training sessions and games - A strong educator who is an excellent communicator both on & off the field who values player/personal development - Level 1 AFL Victoria coaching accreditation (or willing to attain) Remuneration offered will be competitive and reflective of the skills and attributes of the selected applicant. 07.01.2022 ON THIS DAY: SEPTEMBER 14, 2019 Our OMFC U19s took home the premiership flag!! And what an impressive group of young men they were. On this day, they came together and believed in one another, and got the job done. ... "With the lead trading hands throughout the entire game, the OMs found themselves 5 points behind with 2 minutes to go in the last quarter. With supporters visibly shaking (including club president Chris Wischer), the U19s streamed out of defence and sent it long to Harry Bede in a one on one at the top of the goal square. Bede tapped the ball to the advantage of Will Dethridge... and the rest is history." OMFC will always be very proud of this elite unit of men and coach David Elam with what they achieved. We cannot wait to see our next group of U19 men out on the track at EP, ready to take on the 2021 season ahead. Take care everyone and GO OM’S!
