22.01.2022 Attention Junior Families. To fall inline with Federal and State Government recommendations, it has been decided that the upcoming Old Paradian CC Junior Presentation night schedule for Friday the 20/03/2020 will be cancelled. This decision has been difficult to make, however, the health and safety of our Junior players and their families is paramount. ... The current committee is in the process of discussing how awards and the like will be celebrated in the future, please stay tuned for later updates. If there are any further questions please do not hesitate to make contact with a committee member
22.01.2022 PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT To the playing group, I would like to officially welcome you all to the 2020/21 season.... I hope you and your family is staying safe during Covid-19. It is my first year as President and I’m looking forward to leading this club in a positive direction. This season will be like no other due to the current pandemic but that will not stop us as a club from building towards a bigger and better future. I believe that every successful club needs to have a strong relationship with their junior teams and that’s one focus I will have leading into this season. We have lots of talented juniors who I believe can excel at a senior level if nurtured the correct way and that starts by building a strong relationship between the seniors and juniors. Secondly, as much as cricket is about wanting to play with your mates, winning games of cricket adds to the enjoyment of the game. I am committed to assisting Griffin, our newly appointed Head Coach in building and establishing a winning culture at this great club. I want us all to taste the success this great club has experienced over the years. As a committee we are going to be completely transparent with the playing group as we would be nothing without you so I will always have an open door policy. All questions will be welcomed, suggestions will be presented to the committee and discussed. We need to be a united front and working together to build towards a bigger and brighter future. Please check your emails as Griffin has emailed you with his expectations for this season and has also sent through a survey to complete on what you want out of this upcoming season. He will also be contacting you over the next few weeks to introduce himself. I look forward to seeing you all down at the club this season, I will also be continuing to contact each one of you to discuss the season to come and to formally introduce myself. Any questions feel free to contact me as I am always available to have a chat. Your President, Peter 0451 360 848

20.01.2022 Unfortunately, season 19/20 has come to an end earlier than we hoped but we thank every person who contributed in some way to making the club what it is today. Onward and upward from here! See you at our Presentation Nights later in the month: Junior - Friday March 20th @ Garvey Senior - Saturday March 28th @ Garvey... See more
20.01.2022 What makes our club so great? The club is at an amazing time in it’s history right now. We have our very first junior girls team, and we need our loyal members, supporters and friends to help us get this team on the field. We're after a coach or coaches to start this girls team on their journey and help create a path for many more teams and seasons. Our u16s train on Tuesday nights and play on Wednesday nights from 5pm. It might seem like a big job, but many hands make light ...work, and you’re helping make history for your club. Some answers to the earlier question may be; three flags in one season, beers with your mates after a game, or making new friendships when you win a close game. These are all great things that happen at our club, but none of them are the right answer. VOLUNTEERS are what make our club so great. From past presidents all the way down to whoever picks up the cones on Saturday night, this club survives off of volunteers. Firey, Davo, Gaz, Banjo, Karen, Shaz, Collin & Judy are some names that come to mind, if you’re lucky enough to have ever crossed their paths. Whilst not all of those people are still heavily involved at the club, we’re still getting out on the field every week; the cones are put out, the score board switched on and then it’s all packed away again at the end of the day. Those big roles are always filled by the next person who loves this club just as much as the last. Can you be our next honourable volunteer? Please contact someone on the Committee if you are interested.

02.01.2022 During this COVID crisis, the Old Paradians Cricket Club has proudly donated our much loved and now out of date cricketing uniform to an outstanding group called the ‘Nepal-ese-child sponsorship, dental hygiene and community support group’. This was organised by our wonderful Vice President, Sharon Leslie which was received joyfully by the Nepalese community. We appreciate the hard work that these people are doing within these communities and we are happy to assist where possible. If you would like to support this inspiring team, reach out and we can help you organise a sponsorship!
