17.01.2022 This must be one of my favorite weddings ever! Frustrated by COVID, it kept getting smaller and smaller, till it was just five people. But love ruled, and the wedding went ahead. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy All the best guys.

10.01.2022 Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon while listening to beautiful music with The Nomadics from 2pm this Sunday 27th September in the historic Old Thomson Brook Church. Only 8 tickets left, so get in now to make sure you don't miss out! Bring some nibbles and your favourite cold drink or a thermos to enjoy during the performance. Sit back, close your eyes and be transported to remote Australia...picture the red dirt and the turquoise sea...you're lying in the shade of a gum tr...ee, you're breathing and you can feel the heartbeat of this ancient land. THE NOMADICS (Dave Mann and Bec Schofield) met a decade ago in the Northern Territory and they've been co-creating ever since, a musical repertoire, a family and a home on wheels. Based in southwest WA, they're almost always on tour (with their three tousle-headed children), playing concerts and festivals around Australia. Their adventures provide ample material for their songs. The Nomadics were recognised in the Top 3 highlights of Fairbridge Festival 2019. They sing songs of Country and family; breathing life into characters and stories that yearn to be heard and honoured. Their harmonies are so perfect it almost hurts, as both are blessed with incredibly rich and soulful voices which meld seamlessly. They've shared the big stage with a long list of Aussie icons including Missy Higgins, and have toured with The Waifs, and yet their greatest love is to play intimate concerts in beautiful spaces such as the Old Church. Vocal harmonies, banjo, slide and open-tunings come together to create their unique form of soul country music with its bare feet firmly planted in folk. Vikki Thorn from The Waifs describes them perfectly, saying The Nomadics imbibe stories from the heart of Australia, then sing them out with a deep love for the world around them and each other.Their stunning harmonies drew me in, reminding me, what a beautiful thing is music". Listening to The Nomadics might make you weep but they are healing tears tears that soothe and renew...medicine for the soul as they 'sing up' a campfire in the heart of audiences wherever they go. This event is proudly sponsored by the Old Church, Lonsdale Party Hire and Redgum Events. All proceeds from the performance will go directly to the artists.

09.01.2022 Eustice Cohen was the architect who designed the Old Thomson Brook Church, formerly St Thomas. Always enjoy visiting other building he designed in the South West. This one in Bunbury.
