09.01.2022 It’s about 10 months since we planted the tubestock for the koala habitat planting. They have grown astronomically, even through the dry and are almost popping out of their guards!

08.01.2022 A big thank you to all the people who braved the weather and helped plant 512 koala and rainforest trees at the Old Witta School last Saturday. The wet weather was perfect for planting and so was the follow up rain this week. A big thank you to Rebecca for donating over 200 tree guards for the eucalypt species, to Barung Landcare for growing perfect tubestock, Hinterland Bush Links for bringing their enthusiasm and experience and Land for Wildlife for their support and guidance through the last few months of planning. Also a big thanks to Hinterland Times, Glasshouse and Maleny Country News and Sunshine Valley Gazette for promoting the planting day. We look forward to watching the trees flourish and welcoming wildlife to this beautiful corner of the world

06.01.2022 It’s been a busy start to the year, with lots of beautiful rain the grass is growing literally an inch a day so our new mower has come just in time! Big thanks to Sunshine Coast Council for their help in purchasing it through the community grants program and also for grant assistance in removing dead limbs from the magnificent Camphors along the boundary on Witta Rd. Old Witta School Community Centre looks forward to welcoming everyone to our verdant parklands!

03.01.2022 A great Sunday arvo of great music November 24th

03.01.2022 After the amazing amount of rain on Friday night our mulch on the koala planting site will be working it's magic in time for the community tree plant on the 30th of March, 8am. The timing is perfect to give our 500 new habitat trees the best start possible. Looking forward to lots of willing helpers!
