22.01.2022 Treating this 12 seater outdoor dining table with 3x coats of boiled linseed oil, and then 3x coats of spar (marine) varnish will ensure it has excellent weatherproof abilities. All timber will suffer outdoors (it'll go yellow or grey with UV exposure) but this double coating will give it a fighting chance and should only need maintenance every 2 or 3 years.

22.01.2022 I hope everyone had a great Christmas catching up with friends & family, and ate plenty of food! I have this one-of-a-kind 100kg Redgum sleeper coffee table I have made looking for a new home. It is 1200x600x300, finished in a satin urethane on a custom black steel frame, and it would undoubtedly be a feature piece in any living room. I haven't worked out a price for this, as there's a lot of work involved in sanding and finishing but I have emulated a designer store coffee ...table design and they were asking $2200 for a similar table (crazy!) 22.01.2022 It's all systems-go at O.O HQ, I managed to find some really old 33mm messmate for sale, so I'm turning it into a couple of tables. One will be 2100 x 1000, the other 3000 x 1000, both available to purchase on your choice of legs. Photos 2 and 3 are two examples of the messmate in a gloss and a satin finish. Disclaimer: This stuff is pretty old, it's full of knots and won't be dead flat, so if you're looking for a tabletop with real character, this is the stuff for you. I'll fill imperfections with epoxy resin at your request.

21.01.2022 I'd like to give a really big, bottom-of-my-heart thankyou to everyone who has let me build them something special in 2019. You've chosen to support a small local craftsman instead of taking the safe option and heading into a big retail shop, and in doing so you have allowed us to buy a home, get married and start a family. I am looking forward to 2020 and all the new, gigantic and heavy creations you folks can dream up (Looking at you Coxy and John), as well as kicking butt... at whatever life decides to throw my way. 21.01.2022 Well we're back into it, with any spare chance I get and fighting the cold winter weather. 3x tables on the go, all different in design but all glued together using professional grade adhesive and hardwood double biscuits.

21.01.2022 Setting up to host the family for Christmas lunch tomorrow, I've made my life easy by having 2x 3.2m trestle tables on standby for exactly this job. They pack away flat and take up almost no space in the garage, and put together as either a square or two separate tables we can seat up to 24 people for any family function. 16.01.2022 G'day folks, I just wanted to let y'all know that we had our first child recently - a baby boy, and everything is going really well. Admittedly its quite a bit more work and a lot less sleep than I first realized so while I am back around to take inquiries and build tables in my spare time (haha), they will be fewer and further between. 15.01.2022 Most likely the last table to be delivered before we have a baby next month. 2400 x 900 in classic satin urethane on a proper steel framed set of trapezoid legs. I'm sure the new owners will solve many essential jigsaw puzzles around this beauty.

10.01.2022 3x dining tables went out for delivery today, its been a long adventure with over 500kms travelled. I hate to say it, but sadly I won't be able to take on any more orders for this year. Between growing family commitments and current woodwork jobs, it wouldn't be fair to quote a time frame that I couldn't deliver within. I've been steady building tables in what spare time the baby permits, but sadly with no way for Melbourne customers to pick up or receive delivery, i haven't had much to show you. Here's a recently completed one that's sitting in storage waiting for its new home: 2400x1200 Vic Ash in satin urethane on 120x33 ash legs. ... The customer supplied me a few photos of a table they liked from a boutique furniture store and asked if i could replicate it for a better price. Of course!

03.01.2022 A 44mm Tassie Oak dining table off to it's forever home today. 2400mm x 1000mm which will comfortably seat a growing family, this is finished in satin urethane with the minor imperfections and our logo set in epoxy resin. As wonderful as it is that my wife is 6 months pregnant, I am admittedly feeling a strain on my spare time as I support her, so orders may take longer to complete for the foreseeable future. 02.01.2022 2100 x 750 trestle table with folding legs this time. The legs fold up into the frame for low-profile storage when not in use. Water based urethane top again for a light & fresh timber finish, and antique white legs.

01.01.2022 Yikes! Had to pop in to Harvey Norman for a new laptop battery and walked past this. The centre of the table being clear resin is a bit quirky, it is quite well finished, but thin cheap looking frameless steel legs and a $3800 pricetag!?... I could build you this exact table out of higher quality materials and supply 8x near identical chairs for under $2900. That's the small business difference.
