25.01.2022 Simple answer = plenty of: -Vegetables -Fruit -Nuts and seeds -Legumes... -some wholegrains Plant based diet does not necessarily mean vegetarian or pescatarian or vegan or anything that excludes any food groups. If you need a focus word to keep you on track eating well, plant based diet is a good start. As long as there is good variety you will be consuming many micronutrients, fantastic fibre as well as contributing to most of your marconutrients. Give it a go, put more plant on your plate today, and tomorrow!

24.01.2022 Pretty straight forward first tips: nourish and move your body. Eating to nourish your brain is generally like eating to look after your health on the whole - lots of fresh vegetables and a couple of serves of fruit daily, whole grains and lean protein sources (low in saturated fat). Some good brain foods include: Fish... - Walnuts (they even look like little brains!) Eggs And reducing your intake of saturated fats and highly refined sugary foods. (This is generally speaking, if you are recommended to follow a particular diet or avoid particular foods for a health reason, this is important to continue with). Physical activity can help with the balance of neurotransmitters. It can support a healthy mood and brain function.

21.01.2022 Stress Management Tip 2 Remember to breathe the way you are supposed to. Shallow breathing can be common. Do you ever find yourself holding your breath if you are working on something all encompassing? Or notice the big sigh or breath out to signify relief of tension during your day? Breathing fully and doing it regularly gives you a chance to get the oxygen your brain and body need to function best, and can relieve acute stress.

15.01.2022 LUNCHBOXES ARE LOOMING!!!! BUT stop scrolling past, dont stress, this is a simple suggestion post. With so many great ideas and recipes it can be overwhelming to know where to start, especially if your efforts so far of vegetable filled lunch boxes have been unsuccessful... Our tip - KEEP IT SIMPLE:... If you have browning bananas, imperfect looking apples, or that last bit of cauliflower or zucchini in the fridge - put it in some baking for lunchboxes (sometime in the next week). You can find a super recipe, or you can just bake your usual muffins and finely grate some peeled apple or zucchini in to the mix (chocolate muffins hide the skin colours better). Add some tahini (nut free, sesame seed spread) to boost good oils and protein in the banana muffins (*adding dates to sweeten may disguise the mild taste of tahini for those with detective like taste buds). The options are endless, but the GOALS TO KEEP IN MIND: Add as much fresh nutrition as possible, sometimes hiding in baking helps with those extra serves. Minimise sugar Avoid processed (this helps reduce packaging and waste as well as unnecessary additives) Maximise protein (seeds, tahini, egg, etc)
