24.01.2022 Echo has been found! Thank you to everyone who cared and shared - I am eternally grateful to everyone who helped bring my girl safely home. What a wonderful community we have here in Bullsbrook.

23.01.2022 An opportunity to join the team at Mogumber Park!

22.01.2022 After a very busy and stressful night evacuating horses from one of our properties, we're glad to say all our girls are safe back home! We want to thank Lucy Ga...lovicova and all the other altruist people who helped us moving the horses, as well as a big thank you to Magic Millions for taking all these horses when their sale is only a week away, that's what the equine community is all about. Danger is not over yet, MP wishes good luck to everybody in the affected areas and let's hope they get it under control soon. Stay safe everyone!! See more

20.01.2022 We need a bigger van!

19.01.2022 A massive colt half brother to the very talented Fire and Rain. Rommels foals never fail to impress! Hes only 3 hours old here!

19.01.2022 It's that time of year again! Fiona and Sandra have dusted off the rectal gloves and they're ready to go! We have made a few small changes to our pricing for this year to allow potential breeders to feel confident about what their total spend might be. In these uncertain times no-one wants to end up with an out of control vet bill!. While I don't believe a 'season' package is necessarily the right choice for everyone, it will certainly be of benefit to some of you. We also offer the option of extended payments plans via ZipMoney, allowing you to breed now and pay later. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to call the clinic on 9571 3992.

10.01.2022 I know I have a lot of dog-loving friends who think the new Anti-Puppy Farming legislation is an overwhelmingly good thing. If you are one of those people, Id ...like you to please read on. Whilst to the eye of the general public this appears to be a great thing, and there are definitely many great things that will come out of it - there is one key factor that is absolutely devastating should this law be passed as it is currently being proposed by the McGowan Government. If you are a person who prefers not to adopt or purchase a shelter dog (there is no shame in this, I am one of those people) and who enjoy owning pure bred dogs this new legislation as it currently stands will directly impact your future ability to do so. The legislation requires all dogs to be sterilised by the age of 2, unless you apply for and are given exemption from your local council. Note that the power then goes to the local council and they can choose to deny your application. You dont have to be a scientist to realise that the forced sterilisation of all these dogs will significantly reduce the gene pool available for responsible breeding lots of registered ANKC breeders will sell a dog to a loving home and retain the option to breed that dog down the track. Further, the desexing of dogs over 2yo will NOT stamp out BYB. All they need to do to get around this, is live under a council that readily exempts people upon application - OR, even worse - just make sure they always breed immature dogs under 2yo, which lets face it many of them are doing already. By requiring all prospective breeders to be registered with Dogswest they then need to adhere and comply with the code of ethics of the ANKC. Which governs amongst NUMEROUS other things - the amount of litters a bitch can have, how close these litters can be together, and prohibits the sale of puppies to pet shops. So - already not a single puppy in a pet shop is EVER put there by an ethical breeder. DogsWest is the governing organisation for reputable registered Purebreed Dog Breeders in WA. It maintains a registry of all dogs born. It has Regulations and a Code of Ethics which set out the Gold Standard which is expected of its members and sanctions are imposed for breaches. Standard of care, number of litters and maximum and minimum breeding ages are all set out. DogsWest is self regulating. DogsWest members are traceable and in plain sight. Many DogsWest members live in the suburbs or have dogs living homes with other families which they may have a litter out of. The requirement under your new legislation for approval to breed with the local council or compulsory desexing will mean that many dedicated Purebreed breeders are unable to continue. Where then will your well bred, health tested, socialised puppy raised with love come from? DogsWest breeders should be exempted from this requirement. They are already registered - with DogsWest. They are traceable. They are accountable. In the words of Lisa Baker, they are the Gold Standard. If you own a purebred dog, or intend on owning one in the future, I ask that you please get angry and write to Mark McGowan and your local member to express your concern over this Bill. And PLEASE SHARE.I See more

02.01.2022 A call for help! Magic Millions kindly opened their doors to all in need over the last few days but as you may be aware, they have their annual yearling sale coming up next week. With over 300 horses going in and coming out, the complex is in a bit of mess. Can anyone with a spare hour or two in the next few days please go down and give them a hand to clean up. If you have a rake/wheelbarrow/broom please take them but all help would be appreciated. If you are still needing to evacuate horses the Claremont Showgrounds are open and may be a better option, even though it is a bit further away.

02.01.2022 Scarlett keeping caddy company - shes such a brilliant mum.

01.01.2022 A brief look through Mogumber Park yearlings and their dedicated staff - Enjoy the photos!

01.01.2022 And it begins.... What a good maiden mare though - 10.30am foaling and had it up and drinking by 12. I hope she starts a trend! Were looking for suggestions on a naming theme - needs to have at least 40 names.
