Since 2016, the Dandelion Wishes Foundation has hosted a spectacular evening of entertainment and fundraising in support of Monash Children’s Hospital at Crown Palladium. Since we aren’t able to gather together as normal , the need to raise vital funds for Monash Children's hospital, and to create a state-of-the-art Chidlren'...s Emergency Department, is a vital necessity. 14.01.2022 Sometimes I wonder how on earth we got through the last 9 months. Sometimes I wonder how we even had the strength to fight so hard every single day. I guess when something is worth fighting for, you fight...right? We built this business from literally NOTHING, and we are so proud of where it’s come, and how it’s weathered the biggest mother f&#ker of a storm our generation might ever experience. ... Last week was our biggest week in Olive and Thyme HISTORY. Last Friday we catered over 1000 people in multiple jobs and locations. This week and next week are seeing record weeks for us, which had you said that a few months ago I wouldn’t have believed you. We have record number of staff in our kitchen, multiple drivers, and we are all running on very little sleep. It’s all sooo worth it. I thank you all for sticking by us, for buying from us, for supporting us, for recommending us, for commenting/sharing/liking our posts. 08.01.2022 to all our new followers! I thought I would introduce ourselves. Many of you who are new here might not know our story and a little about us so I thought I would share a little about us. Our company is run by my husband Ilias and I, and we started our business with humble beginnings when I oldest daughter, now 5, was only 8 months old. We have two daughters who are 5 and nearly 3. ... We started with a dream and some third generation recipes that Ilias family had from their family restaurant in Germany. People used to travel for hours to taste my mother in laws cooking, and I made it my mission to learn everything from her and apply these recipes in our kitchen today. Our business BC (before covid! ) was our dream come true. We have catered for over 3000 corporate and private events, and for some of the worlds biggest brands. We have created beautiful tables of food for christenings, weddings, birthdays and engagements, and have proudly loved being a part of peoples special events. We moved premises in April 2019 into our 189sqm factory in Clayton south. A dream come true. This is our happy place, and the place we now love and fight to keep running every day. Nowadays things are a little different. We offer beautiful grazing boxes and 100% homemade meals, and we are so thankful to our customers for choosing us to spread joy. When youre supporting a small business like ours, youre keeping our dream alive, one that we live and breathe , and our staff do too. Youre helping us keep our commercial kitchen running, youre helping our staff stay employed, youre helping us create magic and wake up excited every day. This is both of our full time jobs, and we wouldnt have it any other way. Even after all this time and all the events we have done, no matter how big or small the order is, we still do a happy dance every time an order is placed. 05.01.2022 Under state government laws, our business is classified as an Essential Service. At the beginning I didnt quite understand what that meant- and especially now that our business has pivoted to homemade meal delivery and grazing boxes, I hardly thought that was essential to our every day survival. Over the last week in particular, I have seen how ESSENTIAL our work is. We have delivered meals to people who are vulnerable, to people who have health problems, to people who ...are alone. We have delivered iso birthday boxes to people who are alone on their birthdays and have cried with joy over receiving a gift. We have delivered meals from one friend to another, and people showing their family how much they miss them. We delivered meals to a lady whose mother has dementia. We delivered to families who are home schooling their kids and the pure stress of everything right now is completely overwhelming, and our meals have been one less stress to think of. Its not about the food, its about the human connection that is shared with food, and whilst we cant share food together at the moment, theres an unbreakable bond between human experiences and food, and THAT is ESSENTIAL, and that is why i am proud that our business is classified as essential, as without that, We wouldnt be able to share joy and necessary meals to people, and make their lives a little happier and easier.
