10.01.2022 This Saturday, between 8am and 4pm the Easter Bunny will be hopping to every suburb in the City of Gosnells on the back of City of Gosnells Volunteer Bush Fire ...Brigade trucks. Listen out for the sirens, stand on your driveway and catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny who will try and visit as many houses as possible. Due to the large size of the trucks, families in small cul-de-sacs and narrow laneways may come to the entrance of their street, while respecting social distancing. Remember, kids must remain on thier driveway so we can all stay safe. This is part of the City's Home But Not Alone initiative, dedicated to boosting community kindness and bringing people together. 09.01.2022 ESSENTIAL/PERMITTED WORKER WE ARE ALL DOING WHAT WE CAN TO STOP THE SPREAD, HERE IS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS PERSPECTIVE...HOW WE FEEL, WRITTEN IN MY OWN WO...RDS: "What does it mean to be a early childhood educator? To myself and many others it is so much more than a "BABYSITTER SERVICE", you could only imagine. We cater to children's every needs, wants and interest. We can be their primary caregiver and do everything from the pureness of our hearts without remorse, we have love and respect for the children we TEACH, yes that's right I said TEACH because that's what we do. Children learn so much being in our care but yet we are not considered more valued in many peoples eyes, WHY? We are so much more to these little humans; we can be a teacher, a friend, a carer, a nurse/doctor, a singer, a dancer, a referee, a coach... we are anything and everything to these children and we love what we do because we care with all our hearts. This is who we are, we are superheroes without capes that go into work each and everyday with a smile upon our face because we love what we do and we do it with PRIDE. We do this because we love to see the smile on their little faces or to hear their laughter or to see them achieve their goals or simply just giving us a cuddle or sitting on our laps, these are the things that we hold dear to our hearts and cherish because again we love what we do, we do it with PASSION. Whenever you think of an early childhood educator remember they are shaping the lives of the next generation of adults, so never judge what you don't know. We are so much more than what society portrays us to be, we are EDUCATORS which Incase some people didnt know means we educate. So remember that next time you judge an ealry childhood educator, maybe it is you that needs to be EDUCATED on what truly matters and how much of a big difference we truly make in the world of TODAY."
