24.01.2022 Sticky content sounds like a bit of a messy sitch but it’s actually a good thing! Sticky content is content that your audience connects with, and captures their attention for longer than usual. It’s content that piques their interest and that they will continue to return for. Have you ever seen something on your socials, clicked on it, and then got lost down a rabbit hole of that page? #guilty... Teaching sticky content can be tricky because what sticks for one consumer, may not stick for another, even if they are similar, however, we have managed to break down sticky content trends to identify some similarities. Your content should: Be Simple Provoke emotion Tell a story Be relatable Be honest and credible Drive a call to action Sounds easy huh? It's not. But by nailing your content you’ll see an increase in engagement, brand loyalty, and conversion, so put the effort in and try different things. https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

23.01.2022 We don't know who needs to hear this today but Also, Mondays are hard so it's perfectly acceptable to have donuts for breakfast.... #nojudgement

22.01.2022 We could perve on home offices all day being all about the #workfromhome life! Working from home certainly has its perks (hello sweatpants) but over the years of perfecting our productivity in the home office, there’s one thing that always seems to hit home - . No matter how prepared we are, no matter what our to-do list looks like, when 3 pm hits, the eyes start to droop, the motivation wanes and the couch looks extra, extra comfy. The tv remote a sh...ining beacon of happiness. Sound familiar? Luckily, our team has put together a little guide of things you can do to . Here are our top tips: Jess - Hit the protein. I always keep a stash of protein bars or bliss balls on hand for that 3 pm slump. Random life hack, but I find, the crunchier they are, the more they perk me up (#ASMR at it’s finest!) Larissa (aka- Abs Mgee) - Get moving! I get hit with the slumpies BAD but have the perfect antidote for it I get up, do 3 burpees, 20 star jumps, and 10 air squats. It helps the blood flow and sends those exercise-released endorphins straight to the brain to help reignite the creative juices. Kate- I have an amazing big Crows Ash tree in my backyard, currently home to a family of owls, so I head outside, and spend 10 minutes watering the yard and just enjoying the breeze. I always come back vibing and feeling fresh and focussed. Bec- Um- DANCE PARTY! 3pm is right on school pick-up so I find leaving the desk to jump in the car helps a lot but what helps even more, is cranking up the volume in the car on the way home with the kids and getting our groove on. It’s also an awesome way for the kids to destress and shake off the school day, despite having to put up with my children's taste in music!! What do you do to shake away the 3 pm Slumpies? inspo by @home_office_ https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

22.01.2022 Telling stories is our jam And theres a fancy pants science reason its our secret weapon. It's because .... You know the feeling when you hear a story or read something and it stays with you days later? It keeps popping into your head at random times or you find yourself going back to find out more. Its because you created an to the story and the way it was told and its a big part of what we do as content marketers. The fancy pants science reason behind this has to do with the electric pulses in your brain. When you hear a good story, the neural activity in your brain increases drastically which then triggers you to take in more information thus remembering the story better. The brain releases the neurochemical oxytocin which floods our system with all the feels and creates an emotional response to the story as well. Our brain is programmed for stories. So think about the stories your customers want to hear, and get those neurons firing. Science is fun right?! https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

22.01.2022 This is Larissa Drazic who is known for contorting her body for the right angle whenever a camera is pointed at her, bribing children and animals with food in return for smiles and poses, and letting her team members tease her and her 6-pack relentlessly. We think she is ABSolutely great.

19.01.2022 Welp, if you're feeling like a cool pink gin and lime so early in the week, we don't blame you... has been a behemoth so far. But what does it mean for and ? We've seen some changes this year in the marketing industry due to the global and the stats are in:... -% percent of budgets slashed by one-third of marketers due to the pandemic -.% Global ad revenue forecast to decline to $540B in 2020 (linear and digital) But it's not all bad news for : - For starters global ad revenue is forecasting an -% increase in digital advertising while Radio, TV, Print, outdoor and cinema advertising revenue will drop between % %. - % of brands changed messaging because of pandemic, leading to % jump in mission-based marketing and % lift in cause-related content. And it seems the industry peeps expect marketing operations to continue to evolve with % of marketers expecting to shift budget from brand campaigns to pipeline/lead generation (Source: BrandMaker) And %of marketing professionals expecting virtual events to stick around. That's a lot of big numbers and fancy stats but the bottom line is... digital marketing is where you should be investing your marketing budget, and thankfully, we know a bunch of boss ladies who can help you with that! (Source: Marketing Dice: Key marketing stats that define the first half of 2020)

19.01.2022 Should you be your audience? ! Why?... Because it helps your audience revisit your business thus attracting an audience with a higher intent to buy. Because you can personalise dynamic ads for every customer so you can show them what they want to see. Because you can build brand loyalty by showcasing new products to your best customers. Because it takes 28 times for someone to remember you. Eeek that is a lot. #notifyouretarget How? Use your pixel data! There’s a reason you’ve been collecting it. Use Facebook engagement - create a custom audience based on page likes, video views and post engagement, or messenger conversations. Upload a contact list - create a custom audience of your subscribers or database Determine ad timing- Mimic the timing window that’s similar to the amount of time it takes somebody to perform your chosen action. (Eg- Buying a car- a couple of months. Buying coffee- a week) By retargeting your audience you can educate your audience, tell the story about your brand, and keep present and front of mind to maximise conversions. #retargetingiscool https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

19.01.2022 Welp, It's less than 100 days until Christmas (eek!) so it's time to talk about ! Here at OLS, we meet with hundreds of local businesses each year and have drawers full of promotional swag items- stubby coolers, pens, stickers, caps, notebooks, frisbees- you name it! But if you're looking to stand out from your competitors this year and give your top clients something they will definitely use then we have compiled our top 5 swag items that our team goes nuts for.... # ' : . Jess is out in market most days so can't afford her phone dying. Wireless chargers are awesome if you get caught out and are a great shape for custom branding. # ' : . Self-confessed gym junkie Larissa loves a good quality, unique, modern water bottle with branding. They look suave and are a good talking point. # ' : . . . Ever since nabbing a bargain Aldi coffee machine, Bec is a little obsessed. Coffee is a great swag gift idea as it will be consumed, not chucked in a drawer and forgotten about. # ' : . Kate is our resident Earth mother so loves eco products. Think branded beeswax wraps or metal straws in a branded little pouch. # ' : . Because, well, 2020. New mum Rach always has a stash on hand sanny within reach. This is a great idea because the labels can be budgeted and you can even get keychain sanitisers. We want to hear from you... what's the best swag item you've ever received? https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

18.01.2022 Youd never know by looking at us but we actually work with a lot of businesses in the . We love the challenge of taking these so called boring (social media speaking) industries and making them interesting, engaging and most importantly creating campaigns that produce results. COVID resulted in a really captive audience, and those clients who chose to ramp up their online presence are now soaring with retargeting and lead gen campa...igns from the engagements built during this time! We are so proud of what we are creating here. The moral of this brag is that if you have an industry you think is built on referral or relationship or is not pretty or interesting enough for social media; . You just need some experienced out of the box thinkers who may or may not own their own pink hard hats.

18.01.2022 We love ! It's easy, user friendly and has many awesome features such as this colour palette creator... It's a cinch! https://www.canva.com/colors/color-palette-generator/ P.S- You're welcome x

Jess is launching her poddy with 4 episodes. 17.01.2022 Some days we work really hard and make our brain do hard things... Other days we get to play with kids and scrunchies! This photo was taken on a recent photoshoot for one of our fabulous clients. We love watching brands come to life. ... https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

16.01.2022 There is no blanket approach. Sure, there are some common themes and tools for effective digital marketing but for the most part, if you really want to grow, like serious bitcoin level growth, then you need to think outside the box, make some noise and get funny, controversial, and real. (Corny plays on words to keep your feed looking pretty are also acceptable.)... Once you nail the content, the next step is to get this content seen by thousands upon thousands of your target market...tell them your story, tell it to them again (through retargeting), gain visual recognition, build trust and value and only then ask them to buy. It's a journey you are taking your customers on, one that evolves as they grow to trust you from the first time they hear about your brand, to the moment they purchase your product. So don't expect to pop a few random posts out, maybe boost one and then sit back and expect sales. #olivelouisesocial #ols #socialmedia #brisbanesocialmediaagency #socialmediamanagers #brisbanebusiness #brisbanemarketers #socialmediahub #businessadvice #marketingbusiness #businessowner #brisbanebusiness #brisbanesmallbusiness #brisbanedigital #brisbanemarketing #socialmediatips #socialmediastrategy #marketing #ols #instagrammarketing #instagramadvertising #socialmedia #instagramstories #socialmediaupdate #stories #digitalmarketing

15.01.2022 Public Service Announcement! Today is National Day. And look, we don't make the rules... but we sure don't want you to get in trouble so we think you should make like @frejya.the.blue.eyed.frenchie and head back to bed! https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

14.01.2022 Meet our intern Cailea Cailea is studying Public relations, communication, and business and has joined the OLS team this semester to immerse herself in all things digital! So obviously we put her through the same rigorous initiation that we make all our team go through, with a game of #twotruthsandalie ... Let us know what you think! She was born in RADelaide Has a healthy calcium intake and has never broken a bone Is an only child (aka, a brat) https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

14.01.2022 The wind has picked up so we know it's that special time of year- Yep, it's Ekka time! And there's one member of our team who is devastated this year the Ekka isn't going ahead as planned. Kate our content creator is full-blown Ekka mad! She has an Ekka jar in her kitchen and saves ALL year for it. In fact last year for her birthday, Kate's husband booked a room at a hotel in the showgrounds SO SHE COULD STAY AT THE EKKA OVERNIGHT.... We asked Kate what her fave Ekka activities were and here's what she had to say: 1. Chatting to the Farmers about their Giant Pumpkins on display. These men and women are SO proud of their produce, it makes me so happy! 2. Definitely watching the dog shows... but not for the dogs. Mostly for the jazzy women's fashion- hello lavender pantsuits! 3. Checking out the fancy pigeons... Have you seen a fancy pigeon??!? They are amazing, put it on your bucket list 4. Ok this one is embarrassing but every year I collect a Kewpie Doll... you know those little dolls on sticks? I love them... I don't even let my kids play with them. 5. Ring Toss!! There is only one ring toss game in the whole place! It's $10 for a bucket of rings and you have to toss it onto the bottle to win a giant plush. I spend $10 every year on a bucket and I have never won. So you can bet that we'll be enjoying some strawberry sundaes in honour of the Ekka this year, and if Kate has her way, we'll be planning an OLS Staff adventure to the Ekka in 2021. https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

14.01.2022 While you won't be jet setting around the world these summer holidays it's worth noting that is just around the corner, which means customers will soon be writing their wish list. Have you got your Christmas marketing strategy in place? https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

13.01.2022 This is . We all know and love Sherstin Luppi . She is the boss babe founder of . We know she rocks high heels like they are sand shoes. ... We know her eyebrows are ALWAYS on point. And we even know that although she looks like a bad ass corporate ball buster, she actually spends the weekend 4WDing, camping and going on epic outback adventures. BUT can you guess the lie in #twotruthsandalie?? She became a home owner when she was 19 She was born in Germany She broke her jaw when she was 2

13.01.2022 Three things you dont know about our awesome design manager, Larissa Drazic Shes bilingual Shes gone skydiving (EEEK!) She had her appendix removed... Ok, only two of those are true, can you guess which one is a lie?? Fun fact about Larissa she also has 98 abs! Larissa is a champ at putting up with screaming kids interrupting our weekly zoom work meetings. She dropped in to @thebelleevolution ' & podcast recently to chat about her work in a service based industry. https://podcasts.apple.com//belles-and-busine/id1522478793 https://open.spotify.com/show/0lfxTNVbhjdriLHeppLUPI She's an incredibly gifted photographer and designer and a really great team mate at OLS. You should definitely jump on insta and check out her work (@larissadrazic)... there are also many ab pictures on there!

13.01.2022 It's today! So we thought it only seemed fit to throwback to our directors first ever photo shoot together #tbt This moment happened after a well meaning stranger walked past and congratulated them on their engagement. #awkward... But on a serious note, Jessica Ndenda puts it perfectly when she says- . Sherstin Luppi , . . . And in case you were wondering they still get mistaken for being married and they still ugly laugh like this often! Oh and if you haven't already... check out these two boss babes in the The Belle Evolution Podcast where they go pretty deep into their depths of friendship. https://open.spotify.com/episode/4rjZ8G64BcQV6Tb2GcHtcf

12.01.2022 Jess drops in to clear up the age old question- how often should you post?

10.01.2022 If you're spending hours a week writing posts to then stop it. You're doing it . Don't focus on trying to sell your stuff. Instead, put your energy into creating engaging content that will get your customers to click on your post or watch your video... (or drool over your macarons )... If you create something your customers to see then you harness both the powers of retargeting and the powers of engagement, two very important superpowers. Remember the "It's a big ad. Very Big Ad" for Carlton Draught? It's a perfect example of focussing your creative energy on brand awareness instead of selling beer! So next time you're making content stop thinking of how can I make them buy my stuff or visit my website and focus on how can I make them remember this or smile. Are you smiling? #wewin

09.01.2022 Just a group of hard-working, passionate, and vivacious gals working together to conquer the digital landscape. #nobiggie https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

07.01.2022 Let’s talk about the Freelancer vs Agency Debate. It’s something that we often get asked about, and honestly, we see the advantages of both depending on the client's requirements and strategy. But important to know the difference so listen up! Freelancers can offer a personalised 1-on-1 approach and really come alongside your business as they often don’t have as many clients to manage or projects on the go. They may also be more flexible with timelines etc as you're with dea...ling with a 1-on-1 business. On the other hand, the digital world is big, fat, and hairy and is constantly changing. A freelancer generally will have one, maybe two areas of expertise but may find it hard to replicate the large skillset that comes with the different departments in an agency. So many businesses using freelancers, use multiple and need to have a really cohesive handle on branding and strategy to ensure all are working to a consistent plan. A boutique agency will be able to offer personal account management and a team of specialists to work together under the director to bring your project to life. They can be small enough to be able to maintain the level of commitment but have more resources and a wider knowledge pool and skill set. On the other hand, they are likely to have systems and schedules to maximise volume business, so planning in advance is more crucial. Now look, there are many agencies who don't manage this well, and you can become a number in their books that slides under the radar and things can get missed. This is where agencies can go wrong... But there are many out there doing things differently, and we like to think we are one of them! Our agency works so well because we each bring a different area of expertise to the table, and collaborate to solve problems for our clients. Our leader @mrsndenda prides herself on working one on one with each business to maintain that high level of detail and delivery. So in short, do not paint them all with the same brush, get to know your freelancers and agencies and your gut will tell you which is the right fit for you and for right now! https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

07.01.2022 So whats the deal about hitting instagram followers anyway? Its not like you get the or anything (wait, is that still a thing?) But 10k followers is a milestone that does have one perk; the ability to add links to your stories directing customers straight to your website. #gamechanger... This is an awesome sales tool which sends more customers directly to your site, potentially increasing your sales. So how the heck do you get to 10K? Heres a few little tips weve picked up along the way! Post often to your feed, IGTV and stories. Dont sell to your followers, engage with them. What do they want to see? Why are they following you? Use your analytics to see what kind of content your customers are engaging with and then do more of that. Like and respond to your comments, DMs and story shares. Invite everyone who has liked or commented on a post to like your page. Use quality hashtags (try @autohashtags or @focalmark) Collaborate with others through partnerships or sponsorships It may take a bit of time, commitment and authenticity to build your following but having that swipe up feature is well worth it! If you have found a super helpful strategy to increase followers then let us know in the comments!

06.01.2022 Hands up who is about Facebook's announcement that the iOS 14 update will severely impact the effectiveness of ads using audience networks? For those of you who are playing at home, the problem lies with Apples iOS 14 update, which is set to roll out next month. One of the big changes is the update to IDFA (Apple's identifier for advertisers) which enables app owners to track individual user data within apps. While users have always been able to opt-out of ...this tracking, the big change is that this will become an opt-in service, which Mr. Zuckerberg predicts will see audiences numbers will drop drastically on iOS. Because of this, you can expect lower CPMs on Audience Network and likely other ad networks on iOS as advertisers will have a reduced ability to accurately target and measure their campaigns. ? Are you breathing into a paper bag yet? Well, stop freaking and take a deep breath. . Facebook will find another way to get your ads to your audience. How do we know? Because its how they make money. And Facebook likes money. So theyre not about to let their most lucrative money-making venture fail. Whenever these challenges have arisen in the past Facebook has always opened up another avenue to marketers and advertisers. And this time will be no different. So if you see a lower CPM on Audience network over the coming months, just know that theres a tech giant out there who is all over it like tomato sauce on a sausage roll. If you stop thinking about what won't happen and look for the new things about to take off in the space.. ! https://www.socialmediatoday.com//facebook-warns-o/584206/

06.01.2022 Did you know that excellent marketers are excellent listeners? We're trained to hear what no one else can hear. And our Ads Manager Bec Newman is no exception. The self-confessed data nerd is a pro at listening to the market and using ad data and analytics to pick up customer trends and patterns. By keeping her ear to the ground she can develop better strategies, craft sharper messages and as a result, attract a higher calibre customer for your business.... It's one of her many superpowers. #welovebec https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

06.01.2022 Well this is super handy! If you are forever confusing your IGTV tiles with your Facebook cover photos and your Instagram stories aspect ratios with your thumbnails then check out Agency Analytics handy infographic for Social Media Image Sizes. Super handy to have bookmarked! ... https://agencyanalytics.com/blog/social-media-image-sizes

06.01.2022 Food is . Food breaks a lot of the rules of a standard social media marketing strategy. It is an overcrowded and competitive industry, but we find it is also one of the biggest to grow and engage on the socials. If you nail the content, the crowds come. I am not saying we are a species driven by food pictures... but... you stopped didn't you?... LDimagery https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

05.01.2022 Who tried the pistachio and raspberry tarts from Rustic Elegance at the last The Belle Evolution event? If you didn’t, this strategically placed photo is designed to show you what you missed. You’re welcome.... https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

03.01.2022 Calling on all our coaches, consultants, advisers, mentors, homies! Listen up, this #hottip is for you. Facebook ads will not sell you. ... Nope, it does not matter how many courses, free downloads, e-books, masterminds, workshops you do... at the core of it all, you are selling a personal relationship and that is something that cannot be sold through ads alone. Ads CAN however start that relationship and introduce you and your brand in a large scale and very authentic way to a lot of people in your ideal market... but then it’s up to you to take that lead and convert it. Your personal brand requires your investment in time, online presence, and consistency. #truthbomb olivelouisesocial.com.au

01.01.2022 OLS wasn't designed to become a . We never thought that this passion project, this creative outlet, or this means of generating a little extra income for our families was going to evolve into something much bigger and much more powerful like it has. Our business was first and foremost created so that we could help support the people we love while working on our own terms - because being a mum is a second full-time job and that means we need to be able to juggle...juggl...e like the best damn juggler there is. The fact is, is the most important thing and we are so proud to have created a business that lets us fulfil both our goals and the goals of our clients while being there for our kids every step of the way. www.olivelouisesocial.com

01.01.2022 Did you know that 65% of businesses rarely or never do any customer research?! Let's be real... consumers these days are fickle. Loyalty is not a given and businesses have to work hard to maintain their regular customer base. Think of your local cafe... if their coffee is not on point and their service doesn't give you the warm and fuzzies then why would you continue going back? Especially when there are probably 3 or 4 more cafes a stone's throw away?... With this in mind, it's super important to keep your finger on the pulse of the customer experience you are offering. Talk to your customers. Ask them how you're going as a business or service and what you could improve. Put yourself in their shows and check out the user experience yourself. You can do this by: Customer feedback surveys. Email and customer contact forms. Mystery Shopper. Usability tests. Analyze on-site activity (via analytics). Use your socials - polls, ask a question, instant feedback. By having this open dialogue with your customers, you'll be able to pick up on any shifting trends and stay ahead of any consumer behaviors that might affect your business. https://olivelouisesocial.com.au/

01.01.2022 Just a friendly Friday productivity nag from our brain loving productivity queen Jessica Ndenda. When your to do list has a things on it the #juggle is real! But here's a tip- Don't leave all the boring jobs until the end.... Because as your energy wanes the last few hours of the day draggggggg on by with all the menial tasks that are left and you'll be kicking your past self. Trust me, we've been there! And we have learnt some valuable lessons about productivity. If you want to see your productivity soar, try alternating between the jobs on your list you love and the ones that are boring but have to get done. You'll move faster through the ones you don't want to do and you won't procrastinate as much because there's a fun job just around the corner! It also gives your creative brain a bit of a break. Also, fun fact about blueberries... The antioxidants in bloobs (Yes that's I we call them, don't judge me, ) have been found to help brain function by boosting brain cells and increasing concentration and focus. So munching on these little bursts of flavour will help the productivity too! You're welcome x
