03.01.2022 At Olivewood estate museum complex you not only visit the Homestead which was the home of Charles Chaffey and family 1889-1904 who established the Renmark Irrigation Colony but you also visit the developing history of Renmark in our new Charles Chaffey Centre. Behind the Homestead is the old olive oil processing building and the packing shed built c1890, both museums of the past that could take you down memory lane or show what your past generations may have used. You can walk around the grounds and find implements and machinery used in the development of Renmark Irrigation Horticulture industries, Olive trees planted in 1890 are still producing olive oil and sold here.
