09.01.2022 I shoulders and you should too!!! Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Subscapularis muscles form a group known as the Rotator Cuff. This group of muscles are responsible for stabilizing the shoulder, by fine-tuning the movements of the head of the humerus within the glenoid fossa (ball and socket joint). These muscles are deep and active in the neuromuscular control of the shoulder during complex upper extremity movements. Inflammation, impingement and hypertonic...ity of one or more of these muscles can contribute to ongoing shoulder problems.
