25.01.2022 This second picture was taken in November of 2018. At this point of my life I was finishing year 12 and preparing to move on to the next chapter of my life. I have wanted to study art at University since I was 14 years old, and that's what I planned to do post year 12. However, instead I went through a phase of doubting myself and losing a lot of self confidence. Over the past year, I have grown as a person and realised that I can achieve the things I want to achieve in life. So here I am now, 20 months down the track, starting a fine arts degree at the University of Tasmania. I am beyond excited for this next chapter and can't wait to see where it will take me. Thank you for all the support from my friends and family @ University Of Tasmania - Inveresk Precinct

24.01.2022 Some rough thumbnail recreations of still life paintings by Sarah Sedwick and Alison Rehfisch. Really helping improve my still life painting

24.01.2022 Drawing of my paintbrushes and pencils for my end of semester drawing project

24.01.2022 I'm a week and a half into studying fine arts and I've already learnt so much and been challenged in so many different ways. My biggest challenge has been trying to distance myself from perfection. Ever since I got into art, I have always tried incredibly hard to make everything I create as refined and perfect as I could. These past couple weeks have challenged that by doing many tasks that involve experimental techniques. These techniques have taught me that imperfection is perfectly normal

22.01.2022 Went to another plein air painting session in the park. I really love doing this because it's so challenging to just go outside and paint exactly what's in front of you @ Royal Park, Tasmania, Australia

22.01.2022 Stormy sunsets This is my first attempt at painting a seascape, I love trying new things and broadening my skills

21.01.2022 Drawing from life with charcoal

18.01.2022 My final expanded drawing project. Each of these drawings were inspired by COVID 19 and the feeling of being in lockdown. I tried to deliver drawings that expressed items from my everyday life while also giving them a dark, nearly ominous look.

16.01.2022 "Lemon and Sugar" Also cheering because I've finally completed my first semester of my degree! Excited for a well earned break and to start working on new paintings!

15.01.2022 I've spent the past week in my painting class working on texture and how to implicate it using paint. Here are some of my favourite ones

13.01.2022 On Wednesday afternoon, I was able to come into the UTAS academy of arts to do some perspective drawing. Perspective drawing has always been something I've wanted to get better at so it was a great opportunity to practise it in an open setting

11.01.2022 Some tonal landscapes that I did a couple weeks ago

09.01.2022 Tyler, The Creator

08.01.2022 "Memory" This painting has grown to be quite special to me. It's a snapshot of a day spent with family on a road trip to find where my ancestors laid to rest, particularly those on my pops side from Sheffield. This painting will forever remind me of this day and how important family is.

08.01.2022 A cute little mandarin

06.01.2022 Same plant, different day This is a series of drawings I've done over the mid-semester break, excited to see what's in store for the second half of the semester

05.01.2022 This afternoon, I got the chance to go on a field trip with my drawing class to the park. I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed experimenting with drawing tools instead of my usual paintbrush and palette

03.01.2022 Had some fun this morning painting in the park. I had never tried to paint from real life before so it was really fun to try something different and paint what's right in front of me @ Royal Park, Tasmania, Australia
