25.01.2022 Why do I need to fart when I get a massage? I often hear this question pop up in my client's minds, concerned at their new found flatulence. "Why now?!" they ask themselves. During stress we compress the diaphragm and digestive system. The relaxation of massage begins to unwind this stress and subsequently ignites our parasympathetic nervous system. The body can now rest and digest, as it is intended to do. I know it might be embarrassing but quite frankly I find your flatule...nce as a compliment - as it means you're relaxed. Plus I always burn a heap of candles! So if you are attempting any kind of relaxation - massage, yoga or perhaps a bath and your stomach starts to gurgle - you are on the right track. 24.01.2022 Today marks my 27th birthday, and for the first time in my life I feel like the hard work is paying off. I remember so clearly the day I decided to leave Ray White Double Bay and take refuge in a Cambodian Temple. Leaving the cush life the Eastern Suburbs had, was extremely hard but I knew there was something more out there for me. I bargained that I would rather try to discover my truth and fail than sit here and wait for it to happen. There is nothing more bitter than compr...omising and failing, than failing doing what you love and I wanted to find out what that was. I wanted to see the world. The only person who didnt say I was making a huge mistake was my mother Andrea. She was also the only person who supported me the whole way through, and for that I cant thank you enough. My journey has been f#@cking hard. Uncomfortable, scary, painful but my I have learnt. I am so proud of the person I have become and the people I call friends. Lucien, Julia, Agyat, Leslie, Pazit, Kobi, Satyakam, Adria, Anand, you have been my greatest teachers, I am so incredibly grateful for you all. Each one of you has played a pivotal part of my journey and self discovery. It was because of you I found my passion, and love for life, working now with incredible people discovering their truths. For anyone sitting on the fence about taking the leap of faith, do it, leave the partner or cut the job thats keeping your vibration low and jump into a life of self discovery, awareness and serving humanity. 15.01.2022 SUSTAINABILITY. A word often associated with the environment and what we can implement to maintain the longevity of our beautiful planet. But there is a need for sustainability in all areas of our lives, our exercise routine, diet, work/life balance, just to name a few. Meditation is something that is often created by someone else and implemented into our lives not factoring in your natural changes in situation, season, fluctuations in mood, mental state and energy. If we wer...e to choose an outfit for three months time what are the chances it would actually be appropriate on the day? And so why would the same meditation work for the days you are so physically exhausted you are dropping off at your desk and those where you are so run off your feet racing from one appointment to another? For me, having engaged in meditation for one year consistently I can say that when I followed a regimented practice I often drifted away from wanting to continue. Now with the tools to create a practice daily according to my needs I am not missing a day, and even get excited about any free time to do another method that feels right in the moment. In this message I could list the benefits of meditation but it really comes down to what it does for you and how it makes you feel. Effective meditation will change your life. In fact if it doesnt after the first session I say dont continue but where to start? I am currently planning a workshop where the participants will be guided through the ins and outs of meditation and walking you through the tools to create your own flexible practice that you can adapt and develop as YOU adapt and develop. 14.01.2022 As World Meditation Day passes, here are are list of common questions I get asked that might assist you in your practice. 1. How do I switch off my mind? You dont. This is a happening of the practise rather than a doing. Firstly, you may notice rapid thoughts firing and what might be known as a busy mind. Just like if you neglect your email inbox then there are bound to be lots of messages by the time you give it attention, its the same with your thoughts. Allow t...ime to sift through each thought or message until your minds inbox, in time, becomes clean. 2. I feel like I am doing it wrong. Can I be? Take a look at what you are honestly expecting from your practice. Getting frustrated at what you think is supposed to happen but isnt or feeling like you cant turn off your mind are normal concerns. Drop all expectations and preconceived ideas about what you think meditation is and explore the definition for yourself through practise. If you are being mindful and taking some time to connect with yourself then you are meditating. If you are honestly having trouble you need to look at what your body-mind is desperately trying to communicate with you. 3. How long does it take to start working? I have read a lot of resources and they often say it can take some practise which to me feels like an easy response rather than a true one. Listening to your body-mind has instant results, whether you clock them now or some time later. 4. How long do I need to do? You do not need to do any length of time, but if you choose to then anything is better than nothing. Theres doing and not doing. I personally do not use a timer and take as long as my body needs, sometimes this is 13 minutes and others 45+. If you are overwhelmed initially work with what you have, show yourself love and gratitude on the days you are unable to meditate. Get creative: try meditating on the bus as opposed to where you think you should be. 5. I cant sit still for long periods of time.. Then dont move consciously, get creative. Try active and passive styles of meditation. To get some ideas many explanations are available online for which you can explore within your practise. 6. What apps do you recommend? I personally dont I believe they can distract the participant from what they need in the moment. They are pre-built by someone who through self exploration found what worked for them. I encourage my clients to do this for themselves. Apps are great as complementary to your practise however relying on an external source can influence your ability to participate. Happy Meditating!

The only way I can describe it is that as you see me physically I see you spiritually and emotionally. After my time in a Cambodian temple to my year studying in India alongside a disciple of meditation, I uncovered a unique skill of being able to listen to what your bodymind is saying. 01.01.2022 During my research for the Meditation workshop tomorrow evening I came across a theory regarding the Ancient Egyptian philosophies of death. The theory claims that life exists as a preparation for death and upon the time of death the individual is questioned on moral behaviour during their time on earth. The individual is asked a series of moral questions, liken to the Bibles Ten Commandments for which they are expected to answer no. Eg: did you steal? did you kill? However,... and this is where it gets interesting, there is a sense that the judgement of moral behaviour is only part of the story. In fact it is believed that although it is necessary it is not enough just to lead a good life. It is a precious and rare gift to be born. Not only did you behave morally but did you use this opportunity to the best of your ability? Did you? Did you use it well, did you live? Like really truly live or did you waste it? In light of this research and with great timing to our workshop tomorrow this is a chance to start the process of change now, so as not to live another moment wasted. 01.01.2022 I often get asked if I pick up any negative vibes or bad energy from my clients. I use a range of tools to keep my energy clear and centered. One simple technique that I have recently acquired, and find extremely effective, is "shielding" During this process I stand in anatomical neutral and close my eyes, feet hips width distance and close the entry channel of my inner eye by holding my head up. I believe with my entire being this process will clear my aura and mean it. I imagine white light pouring through my crown and washing all energy back into Mother Earth. This energy then spreads outwards and spirals around my body creating a sphere or egg shape, cutting energetic cords and ruthlessly removing any negative/dark energy back to wherever it came from. Try this one at home for an energetic boost.
