15.01.2022 Happy Cows and Happy New Year to you! A lot has been said about this year but I am grateful to my many clients who have supported my work and allowed me to have my very special job and way of life. And thanks to you all for following along on here as well! As a person who would rather be in the shed than at a computer I have learnt to embrace teaching and demonstrating via livestreams, I’ve done private classes, was honoured to be a special guest on @marymaywoodcarving ‘s reg...ular livestream and am thrilled to livestream the on 2nd Saturday of the month for @carbatec (and have some exciting collaborations coming up in the new year overseas!). I had a great time doing live demos at @losttrades and @seymourexpo.com.au before lockdown and look forward to them next year too I missed out on other live events but was shortlisted for the @woodreview maker of the year awards and started a rocking horse restoration book! A very big, very strange year all in all. Wishing you all good luck, health and happiness, Olivia x #2020 #2021 #goodbye2020 #happynewyear

03.01.2022 As a big tennis fan I love how Ash Barty’s most recent trophy looks just like the wombat I carved my parents for Christmas...and they didn’t even have to work up a sweat for their wooden wombat! I’ve no idea who carved the trophy version but it sure it cute #wombat #trophy #ashbarty #yarravalleyclassic #tennis #woodcarving

01.01.2022 SEYMOUR ALTERNATIVE FARMING EXPO. It is with regret that I am not attending the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo this year, I have attended every year for the last 5 or 6 years and always look forward to it in my calendar. I speak with many of the same patrons each year and have made friends with the surrounding stall holders and was looking forward to catching up with everyone after the last year. I am still carving and making rocking horses and am in the very fortunate po...sition to be currently booked out with rocking horse work. As such I made the decision to put my head down and keep carving, painting and stitching to honour my existing clients and finish what I have promised them on time, versus loosing a week + in the workshop to attend the expo. I hope those of you attending have tons of fun and those of you who aren’t, mark it in your calendars for next year! Now I’ve got to get back to work... #seymour #seymouralternativefarmingexpo #seymourexpo #centralvictoria #rockinghorses #woodcarving #sorry See more
