13.01.2022 So once again I am putting myself front and centre for public scrutiny. The Parliament of Australia clearly sets out the definition for Veteran. Many service personnel , as stated , didn’t deploy as they gave their service during a time of relative quiet. I am one of them. Does that make your service less valuable than those who had a opportunity to .... no. In fact many service personnel who didn’t deploy trained those who did either during pre deployment training or as... IETs and where held in that position as valuable instruction staff . Until the veteran community gets over these hurdles and work together on promoting what a awesome group of men and women we have as deployed, non deployed , full time, reserve and Corp the world is going to be harder and tougher for those exiting defence life. Many ex defence members move on from past roles and link into the veteran community and use it as a resource for growth. As I have said in many many posts .... I actually don’t care what uniform, what service and what Corp you served .... First responders/ADF .... I am proud of all your service and proudly call you all veterans of your service . PS ... did you know that a fella called Montgomery was a Reservist ? Peace Out See more
